This weapon rocks. The furniture isn't really to my taste but it's durable and has a cool look for something that isn't customizable. The added length and quality to the floating barrel makes shooting steel at ultra-long-range (which is a relative term, I know) an option, though I still only keep my game shots to under 400 meters or so. That said, it does add a lot of unnecessary weight, so if you're not too into a long and weighted hike in and out of your camp, this might not be the option for you. If you're like me, though, you really enjoy the long slog on foot and a few extra pounds of gear won't kill you, having the extra range on this works great for me. I've outfitted with sling, bipod, and Vector optic. I was very happy with the FFL shipping experience through Bud's, too, I might add. CA is a bear for finding good shops, so this site covers a lot of the gaps I have in the area.

On Bud's end shipping was prompt. The rifle was as described, fit and finish is very good. Unfortunately I have not been able to get out and shoot it yet. As like all other Remington 700's the action is smooth. The Bell and Carlson stock seems very well built and fits the action and barrel very well.

Buds did their part. The gun itself has a bur in the chamber and will need gunsmithing. After the gun is shot the casing becomes lodged and will not eject.

Rifle is very great out of the box, buds was on point with shipping. Rifle review First impressions are usually everything but if you look further, you will find out that they keep going. Trigger is a very good trigger, crisp, smooth, and precise. Adjustment are accurate as well as easy to do and stay true. right now at 2.75lbs. Rifle fitment is great as well, barrel is fully floated, and also glass bedded. Barrel and machining quality is very good, Accuracy, On average at 100yards .5ish to .75 on MOA depending on elements. Shooting Hornady 225gr ELD match. With more practice will get better, this is due to myself not the rifle. I had a previous Rem 700 in 7mm that i had a LA Magpul stock for, so i swapped it over to this rifle with a SWFA SS 16x42 scope. If you do your part it will shoot where you aim it with out a problem. I have had no issues with accuracy, So far i am out to 600 yards and rifle is very consistent. If you want a very good budget friendly Long Rang Rifle, there are some that are or can be better, but out of the box this is a very great value.

First off, Buds was great. Zero issues with them and everything went smoothly. The rifle itself is very nice, the B&C stock is beautiful and lightweight but the full length bedding block makes it very rigid. The fit and finish of the rifle is excellent and the trigger is easily adjusted with a crisp break and little overtravel. I put a Weaver 20MOA rail with Vortex rings and a Nikon on it, within 10 rounds I was sighted in and shooting sub MOA at 100yds using Core-Lokt. Can't wait to see what it does with load development.

If youre looking for a long distance shooter for game or targets, this one will do. And it will do it fine. Long range shooting seems to be the rage now and there are a lot of reviews floating around and it seems some of those people expect if they buy any "long range" "sniper rifle" they will instantly shoot 1000 yards. This is leading to unfair reviews. The action of this gun is long, but as long as youre not trying to speed shuck it, its smooth. The trigger?I have no problems getting reliable tight groups. So if thats what people are saying is holding them back, well they must be very sensitive. The gun shoots where its aimed, but it wont aim itself ;) I'm pleased with it but after a long day and four fields of groudhogs prepare for a sore shoulder.

I tried 6 different ammos and none would group. Changed scopes and mounts as well no luck. Finally called Remington and was advised to buy vortex ammo. I bought the ammo and still had a bad grouping. It's my first 300 and am very disappointed. Will not buy another 300. I am a Remington 700 fan and own multiple calibers. Only one I've been disappointed with.
