Buffalo Bore's Deer Grenade 44 Mag +P is a 240GR has a massive, hollow nosed, 12 BHN cast bullet with a gas check traveling at the below velocities out of stock, real world, over-the-counter firearms. This load is designed as the world's premier deer load for 44 mag. The cast bullet is not considered soft, but it is not really a hard cast bullet either as it only has a BHN (Brinell Hardness Numnber) of 12 so, it could be termed a medium/hard cast bullet.

This is my go to long barrel handgun round for whitetail,1669 average out of 7.5 inch Redhawk, with massive expansion and fragments breaking off to make their own little channels then out the other side. A quick killing, though somewhat destructive round (if you worry about that). At over 2000 fps out of a rifle it lives up to the 'Deer Grenade' name, the front hollow point blows apart and sends shrapnel out in about a 10 inch radius, but the base has passed through on everything so far, although all were basically broadsides through shoulders. I use a 257 Weatherby out west but for the 'straight wall' states this comes pretty close for that poleaxe effect. Some people worry about penetration and think you need a 300 grain hard cast but for deer, in forty some years of hunting with 44 magnum in rifles and handguns I have never recovered a bullet. Never tried any Texas Heart Shots though...

Bought these 44 mag +P rounds to shoot in my Rossi Lever Gun for deer. Well, I haven't shot any deer or hogs with this caliber yet. But, on paper, I'm very happy with the results that I'm getting out to 60 yds. With open sights, Marble's Bullseye Rear sight & a White Dot Front sight, I'm getting a 3" group at 60 yds. I hunt really close for deer here in Central Louisiana. Usually, I sit on the ground down-wind approx 30 yds from the deer trail & that fills my freezer every yr for whatever gun I'm using. Cant wait til I can take one with the 44 mag + P rounds from Buffalo Bore. Thx's Bud's!!! This item is very powerful!!! Deer Man Out
