The frame of this 41 features a switch barrel design to also allow the 7" barrel.

I joined TEAM BUDS after several purchases. I purchased the SW Model 41 Precision Center model and it was shipped out in record time. HOWEVER, this expensive firearm was missing the front sight. I did not catch it at the FFL (My Bad... Noticed when I brought it home) called SW and they are trying to help me but said I may have to PURCHASE a front sight!!!. I then called Buds and was told that because I "accepted the firearm" at the FFL; there was nothing they could do. One would think that when spending $1700 on a Precision Center firearm; Buds would at least make sure it was all there. On would also think that BUDS would TRY to get me a front Sight FOC because I just dropped $30.00 joining TEAM BUDS. I cannot bad-mouth Buds... These fol

Very nice looking pistol. The trigger on this gun is an improvement over my previous Model 41. Out of the box there were zero malfunctions and accuracy was equal to my other 41.
I like the built in picatinny rail and I love the grip, it's also an improvement over my previous model. I'm happy!

Very happy with this Smith & Wesson, Performance Center 41.
Have taken it twice to the range before posting this review. Took it apart and oiled it well before shooting (Lucas, Extreme Duty, Gun Oil). CCI Standard Velocity (which are 40 grain). Flawless performance. Not a single failure to feed. Very happy. Just took it apart and cleaned it, fresh oil. I am going to keep this gun well oiled.

I am very pleased with the S&W Model 41. Ordering from Buds was easy and I had the pistol within one week even going through my local FFL dealer. The pistol shoots better than my other .22 LR that has a 7" barrel and red dot. Upgrading to the Performance Center was well worth the money, especially the awesome trigger. This pistol is gorgeous and shoots better than it looks. My original was to add a red dot but it is really not necessary.
