Para Ordnance Expert 8+1 45ACP 5" - Blue/Black, 5" Barrel, 8+1 Rounds, Polymer Grips, Night Sights

The para ordnance is a solid 1911 that would give someone Just enough features to hold your own against the big boy 1911s without making you go broke. It helped me pass some shooting qualification tests without making it look like I was cheating with a more race style pistol. The fit and finish are what you would expect from a $600 pistol. Good and evenly applied but nothing to be blown away over. Nice clean black. Overall the expert like is fair for the price. With brands like Tisas and Girsan there is more competitive offers. But if you find one. You might hold onto it as I have. No regrets at all owning this one. But it wouldn't be a "bargain at twice the price" people always hope to find.

Just got my Para Expert 1911 today, looks fantastic out of the box, was somewhat surprised to see it came in a cardboard box with Para logos and not a hard case as I saw some people get theirs in but no big deal, it goes in the safe anyways and probably fits better. It comes with two 8 round magazines, a bushing wrench, and a padlock, all very serviceable. Have not had the chance to fire it yet, will be doing so this weekend, finish is nothing amazing, it will wear, but I think it will look good used and I can always have it Duracoated. fit and finish is nice and tight, I like the trigger, got a few compliments on it when I was picking it up, I will likely replace the Mainspring housing with a steel one and fine tune the trigger a bit, certainly replace the plastic grips it comes with but that is probably all, Excited to shoot it this weekend and would buy again. Also, I did not realize Buds ships handguns via UPS 2-day Air, was very happy I would not have to wait until monday for it to arrive once it shipped, and the periodic emails from buds once it was processed, shipping, and shipped, were quite helpful. My First purchase of a gun ever, and my first purchasing through Buds, but certainly not my last!

Great gun not a big fan of the grips which i will replace soon. All and all i like the gun alot put 75 rounds through it no prob. Shot a little low and left but really great 1911 over all. Shoots and feels real good

The Para USA expert 1911 is a fine weapon. The weekend after I received the weapon I put 350 rounds downrange and only had 1 FTF it was the last round in the magazine. During the second day of shooting the front sight shifted to the right. I was able to move it back and continue shooting with no problems. Overall the weapon preformed well and had no other issues.

My issues with this pistol have nothing to do with Buds. The new pistol arrived with what I thought would be a minor issue - LOL I should have returned it to Buds. But I assumed that Para would address the problem quickly - LIFETIME WARRANTY and it would take less time then having the FFL dealer return the pistol to Buds, etc.. Para does not answer emails, and plan on at least a half a day on the phone trying to reach customer service - the suggested 5 minute wait time is more likely to be 55 minutes. If you actually talk to a customer service rep and are not "accidently" disconnected don't expect any real timely help. If you are in the market for an entry level 1911 try something else! If you want a $550 paper weight this is your gun!

I GUESS THIS IS PARA'S BOTTOM OF THE LINE 1911, BUT IT STILL ROCKS. GREAT, TUFF FINISH. SEEMS VERY SOLID AND TIGHT. NICE STAINLESS, POLISHED BARREL.. IF I HAD TO PICK SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE GUN IT WOULD NEED A BETTER QUALITY TRIGGER, BUT THATS EASY TO INSTALL A BETTER ONE. SHOT A FEW ROUNDS TODAY WITH NO PROBS.
