Great. Well balanced with Burris 2x7 Scout scope. One hole groups at 100 yards with Barnes Vortx 150 TTSX. Not so much with the Federal 175 TA, 2+ inches at 100. Irons were dead on at 25. All shots fired from Lead Sled.

The Ruger Gunsite Scout represents several firsts for me. Until now, my only experience shooting rifles has been with AR-15 variants; In other words, semi-automatic rifles chambered in 5.56 NATO. I've always wanted to try a bolt-action rifle, and I could not be happier that the Ruger Gunsite Scout as my first choice. I took it to the range this weekend to get it zeroed in, and I enjoyed the experience immensely. The bolt cycles smoothly, and it ejects spent brass with authority, and I experienced no feeding issues whatsoever. The trigger breaks cleanly with a satisfying "SNAP" every time. Accuracy was impressive even with inexpensive ball ammo, but the Gunsite Scout performed outstandingly with match-grade ammo. I am happy with my purchase, and Bud's price was outstanding. Bud's was the only retailer to carry a left-handed version!

This gun by far has been my favorite gun and enjoy shooting it but it needs the perfect scope soon! Thanks Buds I will be buying another gun Soon to add to my collection.

The rifle is very nice with one major, major flaw, it will not accept AR magazines, and it only comes with one. I can only imagine what extras would cost. I have been a faithful Ruger fan for 60 years, and this, it seems to me, is not like them. I have not gotten to shoot the rifle as the weather is nuts, but I'm not worried about that. It does come with nice scope rings, .like all Rugers. It would be a five star if not for the magazine issue. If you do not have an M&P 10, or similar, then this should not be an issue for you.

M77, Ruger Scout, SS 18" barrel, bolt action .308 This was a great rifle and shot awesome right out of box with iron sites. Buds was the only place I could find a Left-handed model. The price was fair but they took along time to ship, it was 5 days after my ACH direct withdrawl was done.
