So far my experience with Federal's 6.8mm SPC ammo has been positive. I was initially having problems with 100 yard shots going high but after reading the instructions (i.e., the ballistics chart) I worked it out. Good value for the price.

I tested all the cheapest 6.8 ammo out there, looking for a factory round that offered consistent performance and reasonable accuracy in my rifle (Barrett Rec 7 DI, 6.8spcII, 18", 1 in 10 twist). While other, more expensive rounds, we're able to deliver slightly better accuracy, I was very impressed how close this round came to them. In my rifle, it consistently shot 1.25 to 1.5 MOA under controlled bench rest conditions. While not appropriate as a hunting round, this is now my go-to, low cost plinking round. Every rifle/barrel is different but I can recommend trying a few boxes of this to see how it may work for you.
