When you absolutly want it dead with one shot this is the ammo for you!! It will destroy a bowling ball with one round so imagine what it would do to something breathing. The 454 which I also purchased from Bud's is a real handful has no issues accepting this ammo. Buy some and go have some fun today!!

Buyer Beware. I used this ammo in my Ruger New Model Super BlackHawk Bisley Model #0871, and every round jumped it's crimp. I could not shoot more than two rounds before the remaining three rounds in the cylinder had jumped their crimps so far that the cylinder could not longer rotate. I contacted HSM by email, they have yet to respond.

The recoil was relatively light for a .454 round, and I easily went through 50 rounds today using a snubbie. The only bad thing I noticed was that the bullets were tumbling when they hit the target - signs that the bullets were not flying nearly as fast as advertised. However, you expect slower bullets out of a snubbie. I have shot other .454 rounds out of this same gun and the holes were perfectly round. I will try cleaning the gun well and see how the results go tomorrow (with this same round). I'll update if something is different.
