Yes, Each Ruger American Rimfire(R) rifle includes two interchangeable stock modules that provide comb height options for scope or iron sight use (excludes wood and laminate stock models). Standard models come with long length of pull modules, while compact models come with short length of pull modules. By simply removing the rear sling swivel stud, stock modules can be changed in seconds. All four stock modules are completely interchangeable across all models. I see by the previous question and answer that this rifle can use the 10/22 magazine. Is the Ruger single shot magazine able to be used in this rifle? As a Firearm Safety instructor, we must only use rifles with single shot capability. However, finding full sized single shot firearms is tough.

The American series from Ruger consists of bolt-action rifles chambered from 22LR rimfire up to large centerfire rifles such as the 30-06 SPG, and were designed to be an innovative yet affordable rifle platform with models suitable for all North American game. This particular example, chambered in 22LR, features interchangeable stock modules that provide comb height options for both scope or iron sight use. The lightweight black composite stock has sling swivel studs and a 13.75" length of pull. The Marksman adjustable trigger offers a user adjustable pull weight, between 3 and 5 pounds. The free-floated hammer-forged barrel has a target-crown, ultra-precise rifling to provide exceptional accuracy, longevity and easy cleaning, and a satin blued finish. It also features a 10/22-style extended magazine release, a fiber optic front sight, an adjustable V slot folding rear sight, and a 3/8" rimfire scope base machined into the receiver, which is also drilled and tapped for Weaver #12 bases (not included).

ABSOLUTE QUALITY. THE FIT AND FINISH ARE GREAT, AS A STANDARD FOR RUGER. I ACTUALLY BOUGHT HIS AND HERS OF THE AMERICAN 22LRs; THE FULL SIZE FOR ME, AND THE YOUTH MODEL FOR HER. THESE ARE ACCURATE LITTLE BOLT GUNS! SHE CAN PUNCH OUT THE 1" CENTER OF HER 65 YARD TARGET WITH EASE FROM A SANDBAG. EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT PRODUCT.

Bought this gun pre Covid when Bud's used to have sales. Have only shot it in the back yard using Super Colibris or CCI segmented quiet. The sights were dead on at short distances and there no more groundhogs coming around my garden. Both bullets will dispatch a groundhog at 15 to 20 yards

I bought this rifle and put a Redfield 4x12 scope on it. The accuracy was good and the rifle performed well. I tried several brands of ammo with various degrees of success. It will take a few shooting sessions to find out what ammo this rifle likes best. I had quarter size 5 shot groups at 50 yards so far. The trigger and bolt became a lot smoother during my first day target shooting with it. So far I am pleased with the service from Bud's and the rifle from Ruger at the price I paid.

awesome shoots very good ive used it to shoot coyotes and a bunch of other things, i put a boyds stock on it and love it even more, i'm never getting rid of this gun.

This rifle is a "shooter". I'm glad I waited to write a review until this gun got past its apparent break-in period, because at first I was irritated by constant failure-to-feed issues. I believe the 10 round magazine was just too tight when fully loaded and the first 1-3 rounds would consistently drive straight forward into the front of the magazine instead of lifting up and into the chamber. I found success loading only 7 rounds for several trips to the range and then tried 10 on a whim... with no issues. Now I've shot several hundred rounds from a full magazine without a single failure-to-feed, using the same ammo (Remington Bucket o'Bullets and CCI Mini Mags).
As a first rifle for my son, this has been a fun challenge to work through and now he's shooting holes-through-holes at 25 yards. I foresee many years of enjoyment coming from this rifle.
