I owned this same pistol years ago and absolutely loved it. Bought it used and slide spring seemed weak so I contacted Hi Point to purchase a replacement. To my surprise they sent me the part at no charge to me including free shipping . Decieded to try Buds to purchase a new one finally. My whole experience was great ! Payed a little extra and got the home security pack. These are good quality and worth every penny. I highly recommend Buds and Hi Point. These 40 s&w's are monsters !

Put 100 rounds through it this afternoon and it shoots like a champ. Highly recomend this gun for the money!

All I can say is, don't believe all the bad comment's and or remarks on these guns. I own every type on pistol you could think of, from a Colt 1911 to a Glock _--- haha, yes, I'm serious... Out of the box it was shooting a little left and down but after I tweaked the sights a bit I was getting 2 to 3 inch groupings at 21 yards. The gun will put the rounds on paper if the shooter knows what he is doing with a firearm. One downside comment that is true and I will let you know, they are top heavy. Nothing to bad but I figured I would throw that in there.

I was hesitant to buy such a low-end firearm but after reading other reviews (mostly very favorable) I decided I had nothing to lose. After putting 100 rounds through this built like a tank and heavy as a bowling ball monster, I'm convinced. I love it! Not one FTF or FTE and surprisingly accurate. Throw in a lifetime, unconditional warranty, a really neat little portable safe, and I've got the perfect nightstand deterrent, all for less than $200.00. I would be remiss if I did not mention Bud's great service as well. With fast, free shipping and and great communication regarding order status, Bud's is first rate and I'm a customer for life.

This is a bad ass cheap hand gun that for the money I wish I did not spend the 800 on the sig 40 for a cheap hand gun you can not go wrong. I ran over 150 rounds through it did not any problems. so for going cheap this is my choice. the gun is a bit heavy but this is what make it so great....your able to keep it on target so much better....I might be looking to sell my sig.....This Hi-Point 40 nice for what it is....

Great gun. Put 100 rounds of cheap TulAmmo through my .40 Hi-Point with absolutely no complications. 8 inch grouping at 30 yards. Don't knock cheap!!!
