I got this at a great price from Bud's online gun store. A local gun store that is a Dan Wesson distributor had the same firearm but for $300 dollars more! Thank you Bud's for offering the lowest price and outstanding service! As for the firearm, it's another excellent product from Dan Wesson. The only drawback is that 38 super is a very expensive caliber. I'm not sure why since it's just a high octane 9mm with more gun powder, As for the gun, it's reliable, accurate and very well made with top quality parts and great craftsmanship.

Dan Wesson Guardian in 38 super is the smoothest shooting pistol I own. I 'm considering a Guadian in 9mm.

This is my first Dan Wesson pistol. I'm a .38 Super fan and I'm not disappointed with my purchase. Outstanding 1911 very, very happy with the fit, finish & the performance. With the bull barrel it's very accurate.

This is my 1st and will probably be my last carry weapon. I have a full size RIA 1911 in 38 super, great for what it is but not a practical carry for me. I went shopping for the attributes I knew I wanted and decided on the Guardian. To my delight it has outperformed every expectation I had for carry and in 38 super it places the ballistic bar very high too. The size weight and shape are the perfect compromise between comfort and accuracy. The fit and finish are 1st rate as well. This is a custom quality piece at an off the shelf price. I have heard only one criticism about it, not having a grip pattern on the back-strap. After putting many hundreds of rounds through it I have to say it's better the way it is. It came out of the box and went right to work and I've had zero issues with it since day one. I use Geco ammunition which I buy in bulk and it's been a 100% reliable combination. Picked the pistol up the other day, checked it over and brought it home. This is the 12th Dan Wesson I have in the safe and I don't have now but have had two other Guardians, a 38 super and a 9mm. As a note D.W.'s are usually wrapped in a plastic bag soaked in oil. This one had no oil on the pistol and was wrapped in the kind of paper that boxed S&W's are wrapped in. Not a bad thing, the oil soaked ones were a pain to clean and this one was in perfect condition.The sights on this pistol were dated 2017, so it is new production. The only other thing was this pistol came with slim grips and my other two did not. A lot of D. W.'s do come with slim grips, like my Valkyries, but I am not happy with these and will change them out. The good is it is typical Dan Wesson quality, good looking, perfect finish and great barrel and slide to frame fit. First time I took it out the first three shots from 15 yards were in the bullseye in a less than 1" group off hand. I like three dots sights over the straight eights on a lot of D.W.'s. Oh yeah, shoots every time you pull the trigger, which is crisp with no creep and breaks right at 4 #'s, again typical Dan Wesson, perfect for me. I'm very happy with this one and will keep it, I have always liked 38 super, too.

Buds was great as usual. Quick shipping and the DW arrived in perfect condition. This is my first Dan Wesson. I have 4 other 1911s and this one is my new favorite. I've run 500+ rounds,mostly my reloads, through it without a bobble of any kind. It's very accurate and the night sights are amazing. I'm saving up for another DW. Great pistol!

All I can say is I am extremely impressed with the purchase of my first Dan Wesson. Received it from Buds in a timely fashion and in perfect condition. First thing I did when I got home from my FFL was to field strip, clean the oil up from the factory, and re-oil for the first trip to the range. Ran fifty rounds down range without a single hiccup. Recoil of the 38 Super is very manageable and fun to shoot. I have no doubt this one is going to be one of my all time favorites. Accuracy is excellent. The fit and finish is very, very, impressive. Internally the finish is literally as good as the external. Trigger breaks clean at about 4.5 lbs. front strap checkering and grips provide a more than adequate purchase on the weapon. This is a high end weapon without the high end price of a full custom. As a side note, Dan Wesson recommends only oil based cleaners that are safe for the Duty Treatment slide. Pay attention to the manual. Some harsh cleaners could be detrimental to the finish. The Duty Treatment is black as black can be and is near indestructible. Just clean per the manual.

I am happy to report that this is a very fine pistol in the Guardian platform.After a complete strip down and treating with Miltec ofr the first test run it functioned flawlessly with everything form 100 grain corbon to the cheap PMC ammo.My testing was for reliability and accuracy.I have shot 250 rounds total with out a single malfunction.It was also very accurate comparable to the LB and the EB guns that are much more expensive.The fit and finish on this hand fitted fire arms is very much perfectly done in all aspects.For personal protection i am using the 100 gr Corbon power ball ammo.I absolutely love this gun and am very pleased with it.WELL DONE.
