CZ-USA CZ 557 Carbine Bolt 6.5mmX55mm 20.5" 4+1 Walnut Oil - 20.5" Barrel, 4+1 Rounds, Wood, Turkish Walnut Stock

I’ve had this gun for a couple years and love almost everything about it. It shoulders and carries really well. The trigger and action were all smooth and worked great out of the box. The iron sights are very accurate, I actually was able to drop a running deer at a 100 yards with them in 1 shot. I’ve added a Burris 2-7 scope for low light shots. This is the gun I take when I’m anticipating really thick brush while also having chances at 200+ yard shots. The 6.5x55 seems to fit this rifle perfectly, low recoil and muzzle flip while hitting like a freight train. The only thing I didn’t like was that the stock looks chunky, but that’s just visual because it feels amazing when handling it.

Buds was fast and easy. This CZ is a work of art, flawless. This rifle comes with a Remington 700 action (precision rifle bolt) the lock-up is tight. The trigger is fully adjustable but it came “set” perfectly. Blueing is perfect, I love the fiber optic front sight. The walnut stock is beautiful and as for fit&finish, this rifle is 100%. I read a previous review saying that the trigger guard was plastic. This rifle came with a steel trigger guard. I have fired 3 shot groups at 50 yards with iron rights and it held a .50 inch group. This is CZ, it’s not cheap, but it’s something you will not regret if you decide to purchase this rifle. I have owned many rifles, and I have concluded that if you are willing to settle for blued over stainless. This is the rifle for you.

Push feed bolt, no mauser claw extractor, plastic trigger guard, trigger made of pot metal. Save your money. I bought my dad a Zastava M70 .270 for almost $200 cheaper and it's only made of hammer forged steel and walnut. The barrel channel was free floated nicely but for what I paid I'm not happy with some of the features. The WORKMANSHIP is great. Everything is perfectly fitted but for the price I don't appreciate these "modern" features in this rifle.

I couldn't find this rifle in any local gun shops to see if I really liked it or not but having handled other CZ rifles I figured I would. Shipping was fast and the rifle came in excellent condition. Metal to metal fit is perfect. Metal to wood fit is also very good. The checkering is deep and fine. The fiber optic front site is brighter that I thought it would be and is clearly visible. The rear sight is two dots with the FO making the 3rd dot and it works well. Trigger pull has very slight creep before releasing at about 2lbs with no over travel. The trigger is adjustable for creep, weight, and over travel too. I am very pleased with this purchase and how well Buds handled the sale. Thank you

The rifle came in 3 days which is great in anybody's book if you ask me. the best part of this rifle is the sights. neon color makes it easy to be spot on with the target. The looks of the gun isn't as sweet as a Weatherby Mark V but it didn't cost $2500 either. Wood is good as is the metal. Finding rings for the thing is a real pain in the butt.

Rifle exceeded my expectations. Took me awhile to get passed some of the negative online commentary about the change from Controlled Feed to Push Feed in these models, but I am glad I finally set that aside and purchased one. High quality construction, wood and metal finish are attractive. Accuracy was superb, mine is in fact a 1moa rifle. Being a fan of CZs single set triggers I was fully expecting disappointment in this category, but the trigger is really nice. Unlike some folks, I am really glad that CZ didn't go with a longer barrel in this model, the 20.5" barrel is just about right and to me the "handy factor" outweighs whatever advantage in velocity a longer tube might give. This rifle exceeds other higher priced rifles in just about every way, and is truly an exceptional value for the money. I am SO glad that I took a chance on this one, I am very pleased with my purchase.
