MSR/AR owners know the importance of a clean bolt and bolt carrier group. Carbon and fouling can build-up in these areas, causing jams and malfunctions. The B.O.N.E. Tool was designed specifically to clean the bolt carrier assembly area of .223 cal./5.56MM rifles or 7.62 mm rifles. This quick-clean tool serves these purposes: scrapes carbon and fouling from the Bolt, Bolt Carrier, and Firing Pin. It includes a 8-32 threaded hole to act as a T-handle. Note: While this tool fits many bolts flawlessly, it may fit some bolts better than others due to variance in bolts by different manufacturers.

It's what it is. I haven't had to use it much, but it's in my tool box with my armourers wrench and adjustment tool for my iron sight elevation. If I lose it, I'd buy another.

It does as advertised, but could be better. I can do the same job without it but does take slightly longer without this tool.

I have only used it once on a Ar that I just have for plinking and a gun I just keep to shoot when on my property so I really don't keep it clean as I should this worked great to get some old carbon build up off and made cleaning a lot easier
