The G2 Research Radically Invasive Projectile (RIP) bullet is a copper hollow-point with the tip of the bullet consisting of eight trocar-shaped petals which, upon impact, act similar to a holesaw. RIP bullets act like a FMJ on impact in solid objects, and as the bullet passes through soft tissue it expends its energy. The design allows for an ease of entry by reducing the deceleration at the point of impact, causing potential energy to be conserved, thus delivering a deadly kinetic energy wave.

Great home defense ammo for my 1911.

Did a ballistics test at the range with a gel human torso and that's a very scary round with the petals detached the round and their twin sister civic duty they attached but the diameter of the round was almost 3 inches if you can get your hands on them get em they go fast

These are crazy! I bought a box for home defense and big predator protection when hiking. I haven't shot any, but the bullet design is indeed saying 'RIP'

Well, I purchased these rounds for personal defense, and as now I have not used them than the lord, but they seem that if needed they will defiantly get the job done

Have not shot them yet but looks like nasty round will fire off 3 or 4 when I get my 45 ruger soon but not bad

The obvious use for this ammo is to kill. Expensive but you only would need to buy for your carry and/or home defense weapon. I would hate being shot with a bullet like this is.. R.I.P. has a meaning.

Its hard to rate this ammo at the moment, every review I've seen an read say they are the best Defense round on the market. I do believe this could be true, I have a box of .45 ACP For my XD and my Wife has a box for her 9mm Shield, they are a very scary looking round, just showing an attacker this bullet should send them running. However I hope to never have to find out how well they perform. What I can tell you is they cost $34-$42 for a box of 20 so they are not target rounds, I did fire a few of rounds at the range they seemed to drift a bit one way or another out of my .45 but not as much with the 9mm. Also with paper targets the round does not spread or separate
