I bought this one on hope, having read SO many mixed reviews on Charter Arms in general. I immediately purchased new grips (the compact wood grips) from Charter Arms, as this was going to be a pocket carry or CCW for the woods piece for its use. The grips it comes with may be hand filling to fire, but are way too big and the rubber is unnecessary as there is practically no felt recoil. The weight upon receiving it was much more like 1lb rather than 12oz, so I called Charter Arms to ask about that. They stated "12oz is the weight without the grips on." When I had Charter Arms on the line I asked about any ammo restrictions as far as types of .22 wmr for this particular gun as the manual did not state anything on it. Charter Arms said that any factory .22 wmr ammunition would operate safely and reliably. Out of about 60 initial rounds, I had no failures to fire, nor any extraction problems when properly extracting ( cylinder open gun in left hand, muzzle up, chop down on extractor rod with right hand), but doing it gingerly did not always work. Double action was expectantly heavy being a rimfire, and single action was nice and light. Easy for a medium to large size man to operate one handed. Lock up is not perfect or super tight, but should be just fine for operation. The HKS speedloaders do not operate the most smoothly or quickly, so I would recommend tuff or quick strips instead. The finish was okay, not like a high end gun, but again acceptable. I wish that Charter Arms would make the Pathfinder Lite .22wmr in solid colors rather than mixed colors. If you are looking to get one of these you will most likely be satisfied as long as you are not looking for an heirloom gun, but more along the lines of a rugged and affordable tool for semi-regular use.

I purchased the PF Lite after reading several reviews stating an empty weight of 12 ounces: i was disappointed when the weapon arrived to find actual weight is 16.8 oz empty weight. This was my first exposure to Charter Arms and at the price point vs.the quality and weight my personal preference will be Taurus or Ruger

A solid and light weight revolver. I immediately swapped out the spurred hammer for a spurless (DAO) one, and changed the large factory grips to a rubber boot style grip. Both are available on the Charter arms web site. It fits discreetly in a front pocket, great for trail walks or as you ride your atv thought the trails. I have fired 100 rounds of 22M and it has function flawlessly. I recommend.
