CZ 712 is tried-and-true gas operated semi-automatic built on a lightweight alloy receiver. Accepting 2¾ and 3-inch shells, it is an all-arounder, a great choice for upland game, waterfowl or clays. The barrel on the 712 is chrome-lined and has a matte black hard chrome exterior that will resist corrosion for many seasons in the field. Fit with a Turkish walnut stock, the G2 version adds new laser-engraved checkering, right-hand plam swell as well as a barrel lock-ring to make assembly easier.

I really like this shotgun. It’s my first semi auto. After about 100 rounds through it I’m getting used to it enough to be able to hit clays with it. Have shot mostly target loads down to 1180 ft./s Not one malfunction.
The walnut on my gun is really nice for this price range. It comes with a hard case that is the nicest gun case I own. You do have to take the barrel off to fit it in the case. 5 choke tubes.
I expected it to take a while to get it. Bud’s shipped it within a couple days And it got to the FFL quicker than I expected.

First off, Buds has an excellent layaway program. Now for the review of CZ 712 G2. This shotgun comes with 5 choke tubes and tube wrench. Also a hard plastic case. It was in a purple cloth. Impressive. I cleaned everything, reassembled and today shot about 250 rounds. This gun likes a hotter shell to work the action. Maybe 5 stovepipes out of three different kinds of shells. The best performance came from shells that were 1255 fps. Maybe after a few more trips to the range it will loosen up a bit. I would definitely buy another CZ product.

Nice , but I did expect it to be smoother than it actually is. The piston should take up more of the recoil. In honesty , I have not used it enough , maybe it will settle later with more use.

Great shotgun for the price or a couple hundreds more. I would give 5 stats but there are some finish issues on the stock. I sent one back because the stock was scratched on both sides. The 2nd gun I received had some finish issues as well, but I did not want to send it back again. Gun is light, well balanced and has handled a wide variety of 12 gauge shells. Overall, I am very happy. I do wish the stock would have been perfect, but I can live with it.
