Sauer 100 is an enhanced version of the Mauser M-18. Mauser produces the Sauer in Germany in their Mauser plant. Mauser claims that they have the world's best production method for cold hammer forged barrels therefore they claim they manufacture the best cold forged hammer barrels in the world. Having owned several of their rifles I actually do believe their claim. The Sauer upgrade to the M-18 are a steel trigger, a stainless steel bolt and a very nice stock. These rifles have a world class adjustable trigger and shoot absolutely lights out. Buds had the Sauer on sale at around the price of an Ruger American, at this price the rifle was a no brainer. Also, I utilized Buds lay away option and was able to gather my finances to purchase this rifle at this awesome price, Thanks Buds

Probably the best value in the “value rifles” category. I own, and have compared this rifle to, the Mauser M18, Weatherby Vanguard, Tikka T3, Ruger American, and 2 different Savage models. With 8 different types of ammo, this rifle shoots sub-MOA and has shot several sub 1/2” groups. Outstanding fit and finish - typically German in it’s design, quality and durability - very similar to the Mauser M18 (both owned by the same company). I liked it so much, I bought a second Sauer 100 in 7mm-08. I often see these rifles for under $500, which is an absolute steal.

I bought the Sauer 100 in 6.5 Creedmoor out of curiosity just because the price. It's the most consistently accurate rifle I have. I have 20 Bolt actions and 8 ARs. Everything from R700s to Browning X-bolts. Tikkas to Weatherby Vanguards II's and more. This is my 3rd 6.5 CM. I have a R700 and a Browning X-bolt. They don't hold a candle to this. These are Rounds 10-15 with H4350. .8 MOA. They have only got tighter as the round count went up. I shot a .4 group earlier. I wish I would've took pics. The trigger is better than my Tikka. I'm a happy camper. I'll definitely be buying more Sauer's. It also looks like Boyds makes stocks.
