A perfect handling little shotgun with one big problem.The bottom barrel shoots at least 12-18 inches low at 25 yards, I plan to contact Savage.

This is an amazing weapon. First day out and took out 3 squirrels. It’s perfect for rabbits, squirrels, and birds. Fun to operate and doesn’t have the kick of larger gauges.

I’ve only shot a box of shells through it but it seemed to shoot really well. It’s definitely light weight. Overall I’m happy with it.

Quickly becoming my favorite shotgun. Very light and easy on the eyes. Have shot trap, rabbit hunted, and dove hunted with it.

I'm very impressed with this handsome gun. I bought it for my 18 year old daughter to shoot but I'm looking forward to taking it quail hunting. It's delicate, you can't bang it around and expect it to hold up, but it will be fine for no more than it will be used. I like the fact that it came with more than three chokes.

Buds shipped this Stevens 555 28 gauge immediately to my FFL and it was received in Great condition. Love this shotgun ! I have used it for Skeet shooting and hunting it is lightweight and joy to carry in the woods. With TSS #9.5 shot and a Turkey choke or Factory Full choke i no longer use my 12ga for Turkey hunting as it throws killing patterns out to 40 yds which is my self imposed range limit. On the Bud's side, I could not be happier for both the price and the speed that it got to my hands north of Detroit (about a week exactly if I remember correctly, including my pre-registered-Bud's dealer). That isn't bad for late spring/early summer 2021! Five stars, no complaints. On the product, I've been impressed. It is not cosmetically (including quality of the wood and finish) on-par with a Benelli, but then it's 1/4 the cost, and VERY good for that price. It's very stiff/tight, and has slightly loosened after my first outing. It was 100% reliable over 25rd of wobble trap and 50+ sporting clays on it's first outing, plus a few shots in some buddies' hands. Steel shot was used, and only the CY and IC chokes, but the gun came with 5 in a nice case with a wrench. The recoil is very, very minimal, but as this gun literally only weighs 5.5lb (if that), I did feel it a bit the next day. Also, it doesn't "swing" like a 6.5lb gun, so if you use the golf cart to carry the gun station to station, maybe a heavier one is for you. Still: it'd be perfect for anyone who's recoil shy, and GREAT if you're going to walk a the fields a lot. I own several other shotties, and have broken a lot of clays with a 20 (and real birds with a 12), but after the last chukkar hunt, was looking for something with less weight and similar capabilities. The guy weighs literally nothing, and I don't believe the 28ga gives up anything to the 20ga within 30yds, even with steel. I won't grab this for duck hunting, but I'm definitely keeping it.

Great 28 gauge shotgun - looks & feels good. Comes with various choke inserts and left as if. Like any new over/under stiff to open but after shooting & cleaning getting smoother. Shot at weekend & no complaints; well balanced & highly recommend Stevens 555. Only wish is cheaper 28ga shells! My choice for dove & turkey without the sore shoulder.
