Anderson's AM15 Optic ready Firearm is chambered in .223/5.56 and comes with a 16 Chrome Moly Vanadium Steel M4 contour barrel with a 1:8" twist. It features forged 7075 T6 receivers A2 Hand Guard 6 position butt stock A2 pistol grip A2 Flash Hider Anderson s proprietary 174 stainless steel match grade Trigger and Hammer Standard Charging Handle Single point sling mount and one thirty round magazine. This firearm features the RF85 coating firing with 85 percent less friction a 23 percent faster action and cleans up with soap and water; no oil is needed.

I took delivery of this firearm yesterday, June 21, 2023. I am extremely pleased with how quickly the delivery was completed by BUDS. I am looking forward to some serious range time with this rifle.

First AR style rifle I've owned and so far it is running quite well. Everything is working as it's supposed to and the optics I have work well with it. I'm certain I'll be keeping this for it's entire life time.

Anderson RF-85 .223 Wylde is an outstanding rifle. I have dropped in a Rise trigger 31/2 lb pull and it is as accurate as any rifle in same price kind. The grouping is excellent at 25 yds while getting initial zero. My first groups at 100 were a bit large before I put the drop-in trigger into action and now it depends on how I shoot. When taking my time and practicing all good shooting techniques the grouping is at best 3/4" and up to 1and 3/4" when hurried shots go down range. I have purposely tested this concept of no oil and it works! I don't use a drop of oil on the bolt, upper receiver, and lower receiver. Although, I can not brings myself to put water down the barrel of any rifle so I do use high grade oil to clean my barrel even though the documentation says I don't need to. I have used a synthetic SLP to clean the barrel and keep it from getting any kind of moisture related corrosion. I put in the trigger, a nice charging handle, and decent hand guard along with folding handle to make a very effective firing package. I used eco-friendly accessories except for the Geissele charging handle 80 bucks and Rise drop-in trigger was what I deemed a value at 100 bucks. All in all, with the purchase price of 550 to start out I didn't mind putting a little more money into this AR. Buds had it priced very well from the start. I saw some later a little cheaper but with paying shipping it would have worked out to only a little bit below what I spent. I like the inners that this AR was built with and you can tell when you are shooting that you got a deal as the nice thick barrel on this rifle doesn't get very hot like a pencil barrel that some shops give you. I gotta say doing the cleaning in my bathroom sink is very different but it works great and when I do clean the barrel it cleans up real quick without having to work it hard at all. I am happy with this AR and now like Anderson products as a result, if there ever an oil shortage this gun will still work like a charm.

This is a great product. If it lives up to the possibility of the RF85 capabilities it will be one of my favorites in my collection. The price was great and it's wonderful to see Nanotechnology being implemented in such a way. So far I'm very impressed with the fit and function of this firearm and would recommend it to anyone looking for an AR Carbine. Anderson Manufacturing hit it out of the park with this one. Bud's Gun Shop was spot on with cost, shipping and communication throughout the entire process. Kudos to all involved!

this is a fine rifle,operation is flawless so far,however if you want to use iron sights you have to get gas block type to get it zeroed in

I have only ran maybe 200 rds threw the gun so far. Has worked great and been a blast to shoot. The rf85 was the main reason for purchase. I wanted to try to see how well it worked. Soap and water cleaning had me interested whether or not it would work. Time will tell but so far extremely happy with gun and results.
