Excellent shotgun for home defender.

I bought this for my wife’s Christmas present. She always wanted a Mossberg Shockwave. After shooting it I can only say WOW! The shotgun handled great. Recoil was very manageable even with 00 buckshot. I had some concern with magazine reliability. Only because I did not know anyone who had one or familiar with it. So far it has performed flawlessly. I would recommend this shotgun.

This is a tough hard hitter. Smooth action and accurate considering the length of the barrel.

Perfect for home defense. Put a crimson trace saddle laser on it and it is my go to for whatever goes bump in the night. Love it.

No issues so far, cycles well without any hiccups from the magazine. Only downside would be the cost of getting additional mags. Just a fun little gun.

I put a hundred or two rounds through this with the birdshead grip while waiting on the ATF eform 1 to come back. It is definitely more fun to shoot with a stock, and these are a great SBS host. That said, if I had it to do over, I would probably skip the magazine model, and just use the tube fed. It is just so intuitive, and in the end I mostly break clays with this.

I like this magazine fed 12 guage shotgun from Mossberg! I even purchased the 20 round magazine and this beast performs like you would hope it would. The pump action is a bit stiff but all you need to do is grease the slide a little and it will break in and be a great means of personal self defense!

A powerful shotgun. Have a lot of recoil. I recommended to get an arm brace or stabilizing brace for it.

Ok for home use. The 10-shell magazine physically adds a lot more to the overall profile of the shotgun and also makes it harder to cycle shells compared to the regular shockwave. Sorry but it just feels awkward. I’m keeping it only because it gives me 10 1 in a fight. Psychologically intimidating to hear so many shotgun shells fired before popping in the next 10-shell mag and doing it again.

The gun is very cool and fun to shoot and operates just like any other Mossberg shotgun.My only complaint is the safety kind of digs into your hand a little while shooting because of the bird head style grip,Although I do have a large hand.
