Grate gun added to my collection of Henry rifles this being a non popular caliber. Fun to shoot handles good Henrys are heavy witch helps on recoil. fast and easy buying shipped to dealer with in 5 days. Would buy again from Buds good people.

This exceeded my expectations in its look and finish. The rifle is very accurate using the sights on the gun and recoil is minimal. The 38/55 is a powerful cartridge. The only thing that I didn't like initially is how hard is to reload and you need to do it fast, so the cartridge doesn't get stuck. It took some instructions and practice and now is ok. It becomes easier the more you use the rifle.

Shipping was pretty quick, was at my local gun shop in less than a week after ordering. The gun is beautiful and probably one of the smoothest lever actions I've ran. There was a couple issues though, the forearm had some movement from side to side when I would grip it, not a whole lot but quite noticable and aggravating and the top screw on the buttplate was a little mangled like the screwdriver slipped when they installed it, I called Henry and left a message and someone called me back within two hours. I told them my issues and they said they would ship me out a new forearm that's hopefully athe correct fit and a new screw. So far their customer service has been great and hopefully it won't be long before I get the parts. I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet due to the weather.

Outstanding rifle. The 38 55 will make a good range gun and a great hunting rifle if the proper ammo is used (Winchester and Buffalo Bore). With a set of Skinner Express sights the accuracy is great, the buckhorn sights were good also. Overall fit and finish is typical Henry quality - AWESOME! I am very happy with the Henry 38 55 and Bud's fast order processing and shipping.

Henry has done it again and this time "with bells on"! Henry is arguably America's premier lever gun maker, bar none. If you need more proof than their long history doing that, look no further than this offering. Stepping into the side gate arena has been accomplished with both style and grace. Fit and finish exhibit the usual flawlessness that Henry's are deservedly know for. For those unfamiliar with the brand, let it be said that nobody's lever action is smoother than Henry's and many don't even come close. I chose the .38-55 offering because I have a love of straight case cartridges. Any other available caliber will be as that one is - Henry to the bone!

Could not believe how fast this in-stock item shipped! Have not been to the range as yet.........working on obtaining ammo! Am looking forward to a perfect end to my purchase......I will definitely return to Buds for my next firearm purchase!! DLS
