Bud's delivered exceptionally well as always. The shotgun however... Safety is too small. I can't easily get to it with my thumb because the mag prevents me from rotating my wrist around the grip. The safety is almost flush, it needs about a 1/4 inch tab on it. Also be aware- it is not a home defense weapon the family can use. It kicks like a mule, left my wife's shoulder some 2 day red marks after a dozen shots. If it came in 20 guage or could cycle 2&3/4 low brass that'd be great.

First purchased from Buds. I used their layaway program and once I paid the VRBP-100 off Buds shipped it to my FFL lightning quick. I love Bul Pups and this 12gauge is one of my new favorites. I put a RIA medium comp on it and it helps tame the beast. I left the bolt locked back for a couple of weeks and it really helped. Great firearm and great purchase from Buds.

Great gun. Received, cleaned it and to the range. Took some effort to remove grease from barrel; not a complaint just an fyi. Worked great at the range, no cycling issue. Used 2 3/4 inch, high fps rounds. High fps is recommended per manual. Loading the magazine was difficult. Getting the shell to seat against the back of the mag required some effort. But, this may stop as the mag is used/broken in.

This is the first bull pup shotgun I’ve ever purchased & it was a trial for me of that concept. To begin with, it’s my perception that the bull pup design accentuates the recoil, making 3” shells distinctly unpleasant to fire. I hadn’t planned to use them at all, but I was unable to coax mine to cycle with 2 3/4” field loads despite about 35 rounds plus a couple of strippings and cleanings. So I left the light load collar in place then I fired 5 rounds of 3” high velocity, problem solved. The gun now cycles 2 3/4” field loads. So far. I’ve only used the cylinder choke to minimize the recoil. Despite the extra length that it would add, I would appreciate a choke sleeve with a port feature to help moderate recoil. The cheek rest has a tendency to loosen then lift up where it then impacts the shooters cheek. The trigger is basic but functional and I doubt it could be tuned or replaced. The pop-up sights are adequate for the intended purpose. All in all, I’m yet to be persuaded that the compact design offers enough advantages to make it preferable to a conventional tactical shotgun unless length is the critical issue.

I am really happy with this shotgun. It has functioned almost flawlessly for me right out of the box. Can't ask for more than that.

Its a great addition to my home defense collection. I had this for about a week before I actually had to use it to protect my wife and I. I seriously recommend the 9 shell mag. Yes it was Justifiable. I sleep well at night with this next to our bed.

Gun ran flawlessly right out of the box. I used 00-buck which is a hotter load. Definitely recommend NOT using bird shot in these automatic shotguns. Very happy with purchase.

I've been looking for a good all around shotgun but with an emphasis on home defense. When I saw that the NRA awarded the Rock Island VRBP-100 the "Shotgun of the Year" award I took a much closer look. I read a couple of tests on the gun and all gave great reviews. It definitely looked like it had great features for the price and the innovative Bullpup design that sold me. I just picked it up a week ago and haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. It does come with a two chokes, takedown tool, and two 5rnd magazines. I did order two spare 9rnd magazines and they do make a 19rnd magazine. The 19rnd looks big but one article said that with the AK curve to the magazine it wasn't as cumbersome as expected. I figured the 9 rounders would be good enough for me since that equates to 9 1. Great reviews, great features, and a great price, how can you go wrong.

Great shotgun for home defense. Not the choice for quail, pheasant or deer but the perfect item for the closet / night-stand. Cycled 100 rounds of hi-brass duck/goose loads, 00buck and rifled slug with -0- problems. Lo-brass is next; will submit additional info as it's gathered. Bud's is Bud's! Excellent purchase, delivery and follow-up. With covid last year, took a long time to get this product to Bud's inventory, however once in house the purchase process was top-shelf as usual!

Nice shotgun very fun to shoot and seems very well made. I have put about 150 rounds threw it , 70 slug and 80 bird , it took about a 100 rounds before it would cycle them correctly . But after that I ran 8 full magazines through it functioned perfectly . I think you will like this gun and pretty darn accurate with slug at a 100 yards . If you are going to shoot a lot I would buy a limb saver pad .

I shot his gun a few time and it works well with most ammo but some of the cheaper brands will not completely cycle the action . I have watched some videos before I bought it and was surprised that it did not recoil as much as some of the testers reported. I thought it was comfortable to shoot even with full power loads. The only cons I have with the gun ,is long heavy trigger pull and magazine springs make for a very hard reload especially in my arthritic hands (I hope by leaving them loaded that they lose some of that heavy spring tension. Over all ,am satisfied with purchase and with the gun

Love this shotgun. The bullpup design gives me a good 20" barrel with a 30.5" overall length (with the butstock extenders removed). Perfect for home defense. I've had no problems with the action cycling when I shoot high brass shells although it isn't fond of low brass yet (I'm hoping that this will change as I break it in but since I only plan to use high brass self defense rounds this isn't an issue for me). Also, I love that it came with a changeable foregrip with a picatinny rail to mount a forward pistol grip. I couldn't have been happier with the service from Bud's Guns, thank you.

This is an awesome house gun. Do not recommend for hunting but target and defense perfect. Buds is the place to buy. Ive purchased probably. 7 to 8 now of different weapons and everyone is EXACTLY as advertised with zero issues. Always delivered in a timely manner. Their layaway is great too. Purchased a few through it. I have plenty of local stores to purchase from but NONE has the selection like Buds and can get to me in the time frame i ask.
