FUN TO SHOOT!! EASY TO RELOAD

Bought three of these and only one functioned properly

I picked it up from my FFL dealer, brought it home, cleaned it then I put two rounds in it. Bang, bang. I reloaded and the second go around, bang, click. The top firing pin broke. I contacted Bearman and they are sending me replacement firing pins. Side note, this is my second Bearman .22 Derringer. I wanted a paid of these and when I got my first one it had issues with bad firing pins as well. I received the replacements for my first one and it is doing fine for now. Im waiting on the replacement firing pins for this one. Bearman has an issue with the quality of their firing pins.

Nice little derringer but it’s got a heck up a hard trigger…only shot it once at the range. I need to get some 22lr snap caps and dry fire it 1000 times.

I have a Cobra .22 Mag barrel and it is not compatible with the gun. It will not lock into battery. Very disappointed. Trigger is literally painful to pull. You know what you get with this type of purchase, but this one is even more disappointing than expected.

The weapon was as described. I have difficulty firing every time the hammer is pulled back. The trigger just will not pull every time. I can work it open and close to make it fire the first chamber but the second will not fire.

Cheap dangerous and fun.

Love this pistol! Perfect size, not too heavy and fun to shoot.

Buds as usual was excellent with shipping and service. the derringer is cool and works the only down side is trigger pull is tricky it is very hard trigger with such a small gun.

the derringer is rather crude, chambers and bores have very crude machining, rather heavy chattering caused by either a dull chamber cutting reamer or using it dry with no cutting oil. As for the trigger pull....wow, I initially thought the damn thing was broke so I took it apart and could see that most internal parts looked like they just came out of the machine that shaped them. Most edges were sharp. After cleaning, breaking the edges, (don't touch the firing pin selector) polishing, and cutting a few coils off the mainspring and a single coil off the trigger spring, I've got the trigger pull down to a little over 12 pounds. Still more work to be done. Now if I can teach my trigger finger to pull down and back (as per manufacturers directions) instead of pulling straight back as I've done for the last 75 years (I'm 83) I might even try to shoot the thing. I've had to replace the left grip as the screw was tightened too much and the grip was damaged. I've since replaced the grips as the plastic pearl did not appeal to me after seeing them in person. Overall external appearance is nice and I have received several compliments on the gun's looks. The compliments are immediately retracted upon trying to shoot the gun, usually followed by the phrase "am I doing something wrong? Is the safety on?" Like the old saying goes "you get what you pay for" and the gun's price is very cheap. If the manufacturer had taken just a little more time and cleaned up the machining this would be a great little gun.
