I own S&W hammerless revolvers, both at over $700 each. I purchase this revolver and saved 400 bucks! I like my Taurus so much that bought the Taurus hammerless 38 special revolver.

Beautiful! Shoots amazing! It is the perfect size and fits in my hand.

Great little wheel gun haven't had any problems with it. The finish could be better. I liked it so much I got the 3 inch stainless version.

Good little shooter! For the price this is an excellent back up. With a larger Hogue grip, reduced hammer spring and the right ammunition it puts the rounds on target even in double action.

Very pleased with this weapon. I have developed arthritis in both hands, so I was looking for a weapon that required less hand strength. Very pleased with my selection.

shoots good recoil pinches my hand changed to a hogue grip to solve this issue

Fantastic gun! I have owned this gun for over a year and have shot hundreds of rounds through it without any problems whatsoever. The only issue I had is with the aggressive grips. I replaced them with Hogue grips. Great shooter. As always, ordering thru Buds is the best!

Love this little beast, haven't give me any problems, the cylinder cycle well, the trigger is heavy and crisp love it, the only upgrade that it needs is a sight and will be better, is worth it buying one revolver in your collection I would recommend this Taurus 856 38spl 2"

Took the brand new gun out of the box and the cylinder will not open at all. The cylinder was not fully closed, so whoever packed the gun knew it was defective and sent it anyway. I have a couple of Taurus revolvers and have always liked them but this will be the last one. Now I have to send a brand new unfired pistol back to be repaired?

Haven’t fired this gun yet. But am very disappointed in the gritty way the cylinder moves and how difficult it is to release the cylinder and replace it for loading/unloading. On occasion it has jammed completely.

I really enjoy this gun. The price has come down since I bought it so that is a bummer, but it is a good value.

I originally wanted to get the Ultra-lite version of this firearm, but after much research and positive reviews on YouTube, I decided to go for this 22 ounce beauty. I’m very glad I did; took it to the range yesterday and it performed beautifully. This will most likely be my CCW choice going forward. Taurus makes a quality firearm.

It’s a nice gun but if you have big hands it’s not suitable the look of the weapon looks pretty good on the site but when you hold the physical Weapon in your hands the grip is way too small my pinky finger falling off they need to improve the grip to fit big hands people because they don’t know who is purchasing the weapon that’s the only downfall of the grip is too small disappointed in the grip weapon itself is a good weapon….

My first wheel gun. I've wanted one for a little while now. I'm glad I chose the Taurus 856. I have other Taurus pistols (Smith&Wesson also) that are flawless. This one is no different. Fit and finish are on par for the price. I haven't had it at the rage yet but after a few hundred rounds through it, this will be in my carry rotation. Very nice ccw, the grip fits my hand with my pinky finger on it but it might be small if you have large hands. Keep in mind that it's meant to be concealed not comfortable, which it is for me.

Retrieved pistol from FFL; no condition issues. Haven't taken it to the range yet but, everything is fully functional so far. The grips are a bit small for my hands but, that likely because this model is meant to serve as a concealed carry gun. I'm certain I'll be able to find suitable grips for me and the way I'll carry and use it. Overall; I'm very happy with this pistol right out of the box. Good price point from Buds, too.

Purchased this for my wife . What can I say besides, Taurus has a very strong reputation for making solid revolvers. This one is none the less. Price and quality is unmatched for what you get .. Wife loves it and most of all, I feel good about her using it for protection, knowing it will preform if the occasion should be called upon to do so.
