The Ruger Max Black .380 ACP is awesome for its size. This is the pistol that my wife carries every day. As usual, Bud’s was the best price and the easiest purchase. Shipping to my local FFL was fast and easy. The handgun itself is a vast improvement over the LCP she once carried daily. It has real sights !

I hate it. Where to start. To provide some background, I owned the original LCP as well as the upgraded one with the skeleton trigger, which I still own. I had no issues with these pistols. I was just looking to upgrade for the additional capacity the LCP max provides. First off, right out of the gate, the sights are way off. At first I thought it was me pulling the gun, because it was shooting low, but on the last 50 rounds I shot at the range I purposely held the front sight about 3/16 (almost a quarter inch) above the back sight, and I was consistently hitting at point of aim to the point of hitting a few bullseyes. I mean these sights are off bad. I probably could have made it work by getting new sights or just holding up on the sights, but as I was packing up for the day, I noticed a nasty blood blister had formed on my trigger finger from where the bottom of the trigger meets the trigger guard - see included picture. I have never had this happen before with any of my other guns, and I have owned a few. Searching on the internet, I found this is a somewhat common complaint of the LCP max on the forums. To be fair, I will say that I shot almost 200 rounds through the pistol with no malfunctions, but to me that means nothing if the sights are way off, and the gun is ripping into your finger. One trip to the range and I already want to sell it - not good.

Another GREAT micro pistol from Ruger. I was such a fan of the LCP II .380 that I decided to pick this up too - the improvements are night and day. The sights, the double stack mag, even the action of the slide when you rack a round (i had some issues with this on my LCP II) - all worth the money in upgrading in my opinion. That LCP II will be retired to "truck gun" status, the MAX is now my go-to for deep concealment. I fully intend to pick up their other offerings from Buds in the future, great service as always.

Love my Ruger. Its a fun shooter and capable little defense gun. This is my carry gun when I go running early mornings. I highly recommend this gun. Recoil is not bad and ergonomics are excellent for its size. The only downside is not even the firearm and rather the prices of the .380 ammo. So I don't take it to the range as often as I'd like but when I do, myself and company really do enjoy shooting the Ruger LCP Max.

I'm happy with the process, price, and delivery of the Ruger LCP. The small size makes it easy to conceal in gym clothes.

I renewed my permit to carry with this gun, brand new never being shot, it was dead on right out of the box, I normally carry a 9mm but this gun with the 12 roung mag is so small and light and is dead on out to 25/30 ft no problem, I love it, got the Aliengear belly belt and I don't even know I have it on, it is now my most carried gun, fast shipping from Buds.

A super concealable type gun, reliable, but was too small for me.

Love it. Can't believe how small and lightweight it is. Great pocket pistol. My only complaint is the slide wiggles a little side to side (my ADD kicking in) and would have been nice with an extra mag. I went ahead and ordered 2 12 round mags. Still 5 Stars!

Great conceal carry pistol. Hasn't malfunctioned once yet. Sights are much better than the previous lcp 2.

The pistol works fine. It will shoot full mags with no issue. It is light weight and small which is what I like. The only thing that disappointed me was the trigger bite which exists on the original LCP which I hoped they had fixed, nope, it still bites. But otherwise, it is a quality gun, easy to disassemble and clean. Good for self defense.

This small Ruger pistol performs fine. No jams or hiccups so far. I have run about 60 rounds thru it. Ruger improved the sights greatly and if you got time to use them they work well. Nice little pistol. Stick it in your pocket or a Sneaky Pete holster and you are good to go.

First, Bud's, as always, was 100 on the ball with everything!! Pretty decent pistol if you understand what it's for. Not fun to shoot. Accurate enough at self defense distances. 10-12 rounds in a tiny package that disappears in my pocket is hard to beat. At around 700 rounds of various flavors of ammo including defensive rounds, not a single hiccup.

Perfect for pocket carry

I own the LCP II which I really enjoyed. The LCP Max takes it to a whole new level. It has a snappy feel to it when you shoot it but it is a great gun to shoot. The added magazine capacity is a game changer in all of these new sub compacts. I place both guns side by side and the only size difference is in the width of the grip. I had added a Hogue grip to my LCP II so in comparison, there's practically no difference. I ordered the extra 12 round magazine 2-pack. Worth it. Love this gun!
