The pistol is accurate, fitment is tight, and finish is gorgeous. Ran 150 rounds zero issues. This gun shoots as good as it looks. Highly recommend if you're looking for a well-made beautifully blued 1911 at a great price.

Bud’s again came through with the best price and fast service! The Garrison is everything it is advertised to be. Well made with a smooth tight action. I have only 75 rounds of practice ammo through it but, absolutely no failures. Did not like the thin grips ,but, that was an easy swap out. Am loving it now! Next up I will run some hollow points through it. Not expecting any problems.

Great product from Springfield forged upper and lower with a match grade barrel and some extra that you would have to pay for. The garrison is a great buy put 500 rounds fmj,hp no failures. This 1911 is solid! Great price for all the features you get. Compared to a colt classic beaver tail skeleton trigger and hammer for 100 bucks less than colt classic. Buds as usual great service and fast shipping!

I wanted a basic 1911 to replace my one Colt 1911 70 series. I always have had problems with the Colt stove piping (yes new magazines, using several different commercial ammunitions, and twice to a pistol gunsmith). So far, so good with the Garrison. No problems. Trigger could be better, but it is more accurate than the Colt.

Fit and finish on this firearm are excellent and the trigger is very good. Accuracy and reliability are exceptional, the gun will outshoot me and I have yet to have a single malfunction. As far as 1911's go, this one is a great value for the price. My only real complaint is that Springfield only provides one magazine with this firearm.

Very nice looking 1911. The bluing is perfect. The pistol is solid and the fitment is tight. Has a good trigger with a nice reset. Sights were right on out of the box. Very pleased with my purchase and the service from buds.

I bought this gun- my first 1911. No malfunctions at all. Functions properly with no failures with commercially reloaded ammo. I have put about 500 rounds through it and I had no issues. Bought a few Wilson 8 round magazines for it. I would trust this gun with my life. Great quality. Great reliability. This gun is at a great price point and offers all the features you would want without breaking the bank.

Better than expected. Other than grips and sights, I don’t have to do a thing to this firearm. Good trigger, good frame to slide fit. Didn’t touch anything and it shoots like a dream.

This is a really great 1911! The fit and finish is outstanding as is the accuracy. I can’t believe the price is so reasonable. A prior review said the finish was cheap parkerized. They couldn’t be more wrong. The hot salt bluing is way more attractive than any parkerized gun. To sum it up, the Garrison, in my opinion, is well worth the money. One thing, if you pay via a money transfer, it will take at least 5-7 days before it clears. So be patient.

This is an excellent Springfield 1911 not overly priced as the others, I like to try all production 1911s so this made the list. The Springfield Garrison is tight so it will take time to cycle but if you use 1911s you should already know this, don't buy if you aren't use to 1911s get a Glock or other polymer brand. The slide/frame material is good. It uses slim line grips so it will feel (more) narrow. Just like Colt it comes with one 7 round magazine.

My first 1911 and I like it very much. I just put a box of 50 through it and it performed flawlessly. I think it's going to become my favorite. I like the feel of a 1911. It fits well in my hand and I particularly like the trigger pull. The gun appears to be quality made and I expect a lengthy service life.
BTW - I'm left handed. I was talked out of 1911's in the past but for what I'm planning it's no big deal.

On the first day, the blueing has been scratched off the frame by using the safety a couple times. Also the magazine release is too tight and is leaving long scratches into my new magazines. It will not drop the magazines when holding down the button and must use second hand to pull them out. It is not the slide screws, because the magazines will flow smoothy while i hold the release in. There is also blemish on the bushing cover.
