Ive been a long time buds customer and uve bought several guns both outright and using their layaway plan. It’s always been a great experience and their selection is amazing. My only complaint is I feel like the tile it takes to ship is alittle long. This AK came and was flawless, ran flawlessly and looked great!

Hell of a nice AK-47. During my last range day the gas tube heats up after 30 rounds to a point were you can't hold the son of a gun. Sights were pretty accurate. Nice furniture and the weapon in overall is outstanding.

Awesome Weapon!! Mine came with now available BAYONET LUG. Maple furniture very nice, good shooter right out of the box. Serb Steel mags are nice and snug...no slop. I got the mags straight from Zastava USA online. Very tempted to buy a second Zastava AK. Top Notch and good job by Buds in processing and shipping out. Thank you Buds Gun Shop!!

I bought this to replace the AR-15 I got rid of. I am old school and just always believed a gun should be wood and steel. Also I wanted a 30 caliber rifle and not a 22. The AK-47 is what I wanted. After doing a lot of research I chose the Zastava because you can select from 3 different choices of hardwood for the stock and it is more solidly built than many AK's on the market. I enjoy shooting over open sights and the only modification I made was to get a butt pad that slips on to extend the trigger pull another inch. I am 6' 6" and the short stock on the AK meant I had to scrunch up on it to get a sight picture. Now with slightly longer eye relief I can quickly pick up the sights and shoot. The 7.62X39 round is one I already had for my SKS which I also like so it made my ammo supply and choice a lot easier. I got the one with maple stock and then put a German blue/gray sling on it that looks good with the light maple color. Bud's got the gun to me in record breaking time which was even better.

I'm Genuinely in love with this gun. It feels great to shoot, shot almost a thousand rounds out of it and its hasn't jammed and it the light mapple looks amazing. I highly recommend this rifle!

I am reviewing my purchase of a Zastava Arms ZPAP Model 70. This is my second AK from Zastava, my first was an NPAP Underfolder. Zastava makes among other things very fine AK 47s. I love my current ZPAP M70 and am very pleased with the quality. I am not an expert on AKs but watch a lot of videos on them and have viewed/handled a number of other brands and in my opinion Zastava makes the finest AKs, PERIOD ! A { stupid, I think } complaint about the Zastava AKs is that they utilize their own, proprietary furniture and optics mount. To that I say BFD, if one wants to change out the furniture then simply buy Zastava compatible furniture........it is readily available. And as for the optics rail, there are at least three company's that I know of that offer optics rails to fit Zastavas. I purchased the one made by NGT with Zastava's name on it that I topped with a Holosun 510c. EXCELLENT OPTIC RAIL AND EXCELLENT RED DOT !!!! One more thing I'd like to say and that is I personally like/prefer a stamped steel receiver over a milled one. I don't know why for sure but that just seems " more AK " to me. Yes, I am aware that Mikhail's original version had a milled receiver.........big deal ! Doug.

Picked up my m70 from the FFL today and shot about 100 rounds. Imo this was a great buy it's smooth like butter. My sights were on right out of the box and I'm super happy with my purchase and buds customer service. I wouldn't hesitate I would pick one up zastava is a great company with a lot of experience.

Ordered and received in the same week and couldn't find a single blemish or issue. Lit up my 110 yard plate straight out the box. At about 500 rounds out of it and yet to have even the slightest issue

This rifle is made with meticulous quality control in Serbia. When I opened the box I noticed the fit and finish of the rifle was amazing. The best I have ever seen on an akm. Maybe one of the best on a rifle. This rifle is a must have in any ak enthusiasts collection. No tool marks anywhere and no malfunctions. Strong ejection. Will yeet casings into the next county. Very reliable and it ran well when I used this in a shooting match/practice drills. Has more recoil than 5.56 so if you use in a match maybe add muzzle break for fast rapid follow up shots on target. However, recoil isn't that bad at all. It accepts every type of ak magazine I own so buy whichever magazines you prefer. If I had to sell all my rifles in my collection and keep just one this rifle would be the one I would keep (I would never sell my rifles though lol).

excellent rifle ! rivets, sights, bolt/carrier & furniture are well fitted . rifle has a great finish. It's accurate & reliable.

Was super impressed with this rifle initially after unboxing it. That, however, did not last long. I loaded the provided steel magazine to capacity (30rds) and attempted to chamber a round. The bolt will not slide completely forward after chambering. It stops short about an inch. After you've ejected about 6 or 7 rounds from the magazine it will fully chamber a round and let the bolt go completely forward. I'm assuming this is a magazine issue. So I contacted Zastava and they're reply was "if I had another magazine to try..if it does it with another magazine then it'ss a mag-well issue" and I'm assuming if that's the case ill have to send the rifle back to be repaired or replaced. How frustrating to pay 1100 dollars for a rifle only to get it and have to send it back. If this wasn't enough to make me not want this gun, I noticed a small hairline crack in the butt-stock while wiping it down. It starts where the wood meets the butt-plate. It wasn't noticeable until after I applied "boiled linseed oil" to the stock as recommended by the manufacturer. I feel like I've been punched in the stomach. This makes me wish I had never even considered buying this rifle. I hope that the chambering issue was just the mag and not the mag-well itself but something tells me that it is the mag-well. Considering I paid 1100 dollars and got a cracked stock, why wouldn't the actual functionality of the rifle be compromised too? I won't be keeping this rifle. The sight of it just infuriates me.
