Perfect for target practice its a 45 so it's a little more power and need a firm grip for 25yrds or more to keep on target

This is such a great smooth shooting 45 ACP pistol. Comfortable in the hand with the “grip-zone”. The grip is actually very good. The long slide and barrel add sight radius which equals better accuracy, weight which reduces felt recoil, and the best velocity your going to get from a 45 ACP in a pistol. 13 rounds of capacity stomps all over any 1911. Unfortunately Springfield discontinued the Mod 2 line of pistols for some reason. Too bad because they are fantastic!

Love this gun! Works flawlessly, accurate, easy to handle, easy to clean, nice balance even with a full 13 rounds in the clip. Gun is so nice, my wife bought the same model in 9mm. Wish I could find the 4" model too.

Great gun. Big and bulky but not a ton of recoil and right on the mark. First shot out of the gun after cleaning it up was dead center at 20 yards.

I love Buds guns and I love Springfield Armory 45 magazine is a little tight you probably will only be able to put 12 rounds instead of 13 and to your spring loosen up some I have the 10 mm Springfield and next I will get the 9 mm Springfield, thanks bud for all your help and the good prices and service you provide

I am a fan of Springfield XD handguns in general and have owned and fired many. This full size .45 is excellent and accurate right out of the box. Also cycles all kinds of ammo including steel cased russian ammo. No misfires and no stovepipes.
Fit and finish are superb. Mine included a Springfield soft range case and two magazines. I reccomend buying a mag loader, as the new factory mags are a little tough to fit that last round into with bare hands, however it is possible.
While not as elegant in appearance as a 1911, its increased capacity and rugged reliability make it a superior pistol in my opinion. Accurate too!
Easy to field strip, no tools required. Maintenance is simple.
I like the ergonomics of the grip over other striker fired pistols and the grip safety is something i personally like.
All told, i am biased in favor of Springfield. But if you are looking for an excellent. 45 that won't break the bank pull the trigger! You won't be sorry!

This gun is exactly as described! New in excellent condition with zero defects or scratches.
I just didn’t realize how uncomfortable it would feel in my semi- wide medium hands. I love the look of this gun it’s just too big for me... Never fired it, just a good cleaning and I put it back in it’s box/bag. I have already sent it back and trading it in for a compact LE Sig P320 in 45 acp that fits my hand much better.

I am really happy with this purchase, I have taken it to the range three times and put about 600rd through it, it is fun to shoot and not jammed once, the only issue I had was that when I received it it was very dry and stiff but an initial cleaning loosened it up just fine. I highly recommend this product

Great Gun!!! Great Price!!! Buds was very easy to deal with on the purchase as I did the Layaway to see how it would go. I have to say it was easy as pie. The .45 ACP by Springfield is accurate out of the box, you can shoot any type of ammo through it; (I don't recommend that but it does well with that cheap stuff, you will have to do a heavy cleaning afterwards.). I really love the handle safety on this .45. It is also a very well balanced firearm with little to no recoil for a .45 ACP.

The Springfield Armory XD MOD.2. 45 ACP is fantastic..it already is my favorite handgun. It's feels so comfortable in my hand and amazingly easy to shoot. I highly recommend this gun for anyone looking for a great handgun.

I am very happy with this firearm, have put a few hundred rounds thru it with no malfunctions. Great shooter with a nice trigger for sure. Came with 2 mags and a soft zippered pouch. Was my 1st firearm purchase from Buds, processed and shipped quickly, Buds is awesome!

I love this weapon. It is the first 45 ACP i have owned. she is a sweetheart. My 40 S&W kicks harder than this one. Accurate right out of the box, I was hitting a 2 inch to 3 inch dirt clod on a dirt road at 20 yards, now there is some back woods shit right there( true gun enthusiasts know exactly what I am talking about) works flawlessly. Travel in the trigger is long so get a trigger kit.you will love it and even more with the trigger kit.

Springfield armory 45' 5 in 13 -1 Great firearm i'm very please order on Thursday it was at the ffl on Saturday i was ready to fire it on Tuesday wow a little stiff so i believe once i put a few rounds Thu it ill be ready i didn't do bad on this deal wow ...

Awesome Gun.. It's accurate and has a great trigger right of the box. Grip fits my hand almost perfectly(luckily for me because this model does not have a changeable back strap). So why do I only give this gun 4 stars? The magazines! They say 13 rounds, and you can get 13 in there but it ain't easy. Then once you do get the 13th round in there you won't be able to get it into the gun with the side close cause the mag-spring is already fully compressed. I have decided just to load them to 12 rounds. I bought 2 additional mags & all 4 have the same issue. So no way is this a 13 1 firearm. For the price, which totaled out to about $460 fo me after all fee's, you're getting a lot of bang for your buck.

I have been shooting a 9mm XDs for the last couple of years, but I had wanted a 45 also. I purchased the Springfield XM mod 2 5" from Bud's and the price was great.
Went to the range and found out real fast that I was a little limp in my grip with the 45. My gun shoots very nice, is accurate and with 13+1 in the magazine it has enough
rounds for any situation. The 5 inch barrel helps control muzzle rise although there is still a lot, it didn't take long for me to zero in on the target, a nice gun.

This gun was an incredible bargain. I had one of the original XD 45 tactical 5 inch and it was one of the best guns I ever owned. Then in a fit of idiocy I sold it and regretted it ever since.
When I saw this gun available I knew I couldn't let the chance to correct my mistake pass up. I have to say this gun feels superior to my original XD tactical. The ergonomics are much improved and seems like it had a better trigger as well. As I get older I really appreciate the Fiber optic site. Springfield discontinued this gun in 2019 so if you can get one at this price do it, you won't be sorry!
