Yes this is an overpriced and somewhat archaic design but let's be honest, it still appeals to the inner James Bond in all of us. Really like the heft of this pistol, it fits nicely into my hand and is surprisingly accurate. The safety/de-cocker is easy to use. There is a definite slide bite problem which is made worse by the beaver tail edges being slightly sharp. Have been considering slightly filing the edges down a bit. If you have large hands slide bite will be problem for you. When at the range I bring multiple magazines due to the small capacity of each one. If I quickly fire maybe 30 to 40 rounds there is a propensity of the gun to jam. No issues on the first 3 to 4 magazines so probably jam caused by some over heating and the gun is still relatively new. And the reality is you'd never experience this volume of shooting except at the range. Since I have only fired maybe hundred fifty rounds I expect it will loosens up over time. All things considered I really like this pistol and I'm happy I purchased it from Bud's with their usual great service.

It was cool for a minute. Snappy AF and uncomfortable for me sausage fingers. Traded for a significant loss and used the credit for my 365XL. It’s one of those guns that people should try out or own once in their lives.

Accurate, reliable, safe, easy to carry and conceal. Iconic. Great pistol, one of my favorite pistols to shoot.

I have had several PPK andf PPKS pistols over the years. They have always been reliable and very easy to carry. This new model is no exception. My only complaint is that it is to pretty to carry.

This is a fantastic pistol and you pretty much own a piece of history when you commit to purchasing this. It has proven to be reliable as I had zero issues with it this far. It carries well for it's size but it has some hefty to it and there are lighter weight options out there but other than that no complaints on my end.

Can't say enough good things about this firearm. In the 500 round break-in period, not a single malfunction. The only thing I would recommend is carefully sanding down the edges on the beavertail as it can cut the web of your hand with prolonged shooting.

Love my PPK. Have been wanting one for my collection for awhile now and was finally able to pick one up. Am very happy with my purchase. Has been reliable and accurate. Have not had a single malfunction so far. A great edition for my collection. A very beautiful pistol.

I always wanted to have this pistol, it's beautiful, so if you prepare for a very heavy D/A, the S/A is very sweet, for small hands like mine it's great, people with big hands complain about the bite of the slide, excellent weapon

Not for everyone. If you need 10,15 or 20 shots to hit something, or what really amazes me? Is people who never kill anything- need ever larger calibers and capacities…… for those that hunt, and so on. Hitting what your aiming at is all that matters. It’s very well made, solid as a rock, and you have seven shots. To me? That means I can hit and kill 3 things. People sometimes say it’s outdated, there’s smaller out there- with more capacity…. But it’s a good shooter, and in fact….. in more desperate times in the 1970’s and a very remote part of the world, I went deer hunting with one. It worked because of skill and confidence. -Not caliber or capacity. If I had a rifle it would have been nice, but it is capable. This one is 380. To me, a world better than .32 - and the biggest caliber handgun I own anymore as I’m getting older and just don’t want the kick, weight and noise anymore. So? It’s a proven classic design. It is solid to last centuries. It has all you need, and a solid barrel part of the frame. I like that. Easiest gun ever to take down and clean. It’s my all time favorite.

I was 13 years old when I went to the theater to watch Dr. No. I’ve always wanted a PPK and followed all of the gyrations Walther has gone through to market this pistol in the U.S. Things have settled down, and this issue from Fort Smith AR brings a top quality Walther to the market. I have a Glock and a PPQ, both striker fired. I am delighted with the PPK, having adjusted to its idiosyncrasies. At the range it has performed flawlessly. (Too bad .380 ammo is about three times the cost of 9mm.) The PPK is an elegant firearm that will now be my carry, and it goes well with my tuxedo and fedora!

Back in 1976 I carried a Interarms version of the PPK/S for about 5 years while working as a Hotel Detective. It was fine...but it wasn't a German made PPK.
After reading the current reviews on the Walther made PPK I decided to ask Santa Claus for one and received it in perfect condition from Buds.
I could not be happier, the fit and finish is perfect. I haven't had a chance to take it to the range due to the plague situation, but I'm sure it will shoot just fine.
Highly recommended for professionals who need a reliable carry (back up) gun.

I have been looking for a smaller carry weapon to replace my current 9mm, simply due to size and weight.
After many months of talking to friends, shooting acquaintances and reading tons of reviews decided to try the American made( Ft Smith, AR) Walther ppk .380acp.
Now after 3 weeks of ownership and several hundred rounds at local outdoor range, this firearm was a brilliant decision.
Great feel, size/weight to carry in my nylon belt holster.
The feel in firing my range loads and the 95 grain defense loads is great, handles great , little recoil and will do the job, if necessary, no doubt at all.

The Walther PPK is a classic, dating back to 1929. The fact that a design has been in production for 92 years, virtually unchanged, says a lot. James Bond made the PPK an icon. I purchased this PPK because I already own a PPK/s and I wanted this model with the shorter grip and in stainless steel. The slightly shorter grip makes the PPK more concealable but it also holds only six rounds compared to seven rounds in the PPK/s. There is no free lunch: greater concealability comes at the cost of reduced capacity. Newer shooters should be warned that the .380 caliber packs a good wallop in terms of recoil in such a small gun. The PPK should be thought of as a relatively easy gun to carry and conceal, but not one that is comfortable to shoot for very long. James Bond made shooting this gun look easy. It doesn't handle like it looks in the movies. My older PPK/s was made in West Germany but this PPK was manufactured in the USA. It is beautifully crafted, appears very well made and comes in a really neat, albeit plastic box, along with two magazines. One magazine incorporates a finger rest and the other has a flat floor plate which makes carrying in a pocket holster easier. There are cheaper copies of this design on the market but, in my opinion, none match the quality of a real Walther.

Today received my Walther PPK from Bud's. My 2nd purchase from Bud's and I cannot say enough about how quick and easy the process was. Have spent much time waiting in line and dealing with overworked, cranky gun counter employees at big-box sporting goods stores, and was delighted to find this on-line order with not a single hassle or hiccup. Love the feel and look of the PPK. My primary CCW has been a Sig P238, which I really like. The PPK is about an inch longer in the barrel and noticebly heavier, but the PPK feels a lot more substantial despite one round less. One small touch that helped the feel of the new gun was to smooth the edges of the beavertail with crocus cloth. Big difference. Anxious to get shooting, and will post a gun review after some range time. Highly recommend shopping at Bud's!

By far and away the coolest gun out there. It's nice that Walther is making them again and that they are available. Took it right away to the range and put a 120 rounds of mixed brands of .380 (all brass) including some Hornady self defense rounds. No issues what so ever. The gun for being small and heavy is snappy but accurate. The packaging it comes in by far and away is the coolest any gun I have ever seen come in. It did come with two magazines, one with the pinky extension and one without. Highly Reccomend.

I own an 80’s model Colt MkIV Series 80 pistol which is similar to the Walther PPK. The PPK by Walther Arms is a very high quality handgun. They have good weight and excellent construction. Everything I’ve read about the PPK’s out of Ft Smith attest to their first-class engineering. The all-steel construction is top notch.
I would recommend this item whole heartedly.

Walther PPK is such an iconic handgun. Its 90 years-old design still makes it very stylish and very comfortable to carry, handle and shoot, and its superb build quality makes it a true great gun! I am very happy to become a PPK owner!
By the way, this is my first purchase from Buds Gun Shop. From in-stock email notification to shipping, the entire process is flawless and fast. Really appreciate Buds’ help to get this excellent and true classic pistol!

This is by far the best made 380 I have seen. It shoots like a compact 9mm, and has replaced my Glock 19 as my carry gun.
