This is my first AR 15 and first time buying from buds. This is a fantastic AR 15 and shoots .223/5.56 ammo perfectly. I did a lot of research before buying one and the Smith and Wesson AR was in my price range. I'm glad I made a perfect choice in buying this one. It doesn't come with any sights and it has only one 30 round clip. As for doing business with buds, I had no problems with them. I will be doing business with them in the future!

I like the gun. It brings back memories of my time in the service. I wish that i had known that it came without iron sites

The rifle was a great deal with S&W rebates. The rifle itself is built with the same excellent qualities that we have come to expect from Smith and Wesson and is a great buy at any price to start a build and customize your own AR15 rifle. Buds is also excellent to deal with.

This has been a great gun, fun to shoot and very accurate. It came highly recommended from a friend and it did not disappoint. The only issue I've had is that BL-C2 powder fouls up the gas tube. Other than that it's been a great gun.

Good entry lever AR and you don't have to worry and wonder if you got the right one.

One of the best budget AR15 in the market

This rifle works like a dream. I've had the pleasure of shooting this for a few months now, and it hasn't jammed once and is highly accurate. It doesn't come with any sights, so I had to buy some stock iron sights. I've put a few hundred rounds through it and rifle has consistent shot placement every time. It has a good solid frame, easy disassemble and cleaning is simple. Perfect rifle for a beginner or if on a budget, which is most people in this economy!

Ordered on Sunday- was at my FFL by Tuesday! So far happy with it- out of the box it has functioned well. It has the typical slop between upper and lower receiver that I wasn’t ready for, but after research seems to be common unless you are buying matched upper/lower combos. Great rifle!

I recently purchase this M&P Sport 2, and could not have been more satisfied with not just the operation of the weapon but also the manner in which I purchased it. As most places I had to wait to receive it to only to Buds being out of stock, but I was out on a waiting list and writhing approximately 2 months I was notified one was available. I received it about 4 days after I paid. The weapon itself is great, my first few shots I didn’t hit anything then I put some crosshair sites on it and oh boy, all shots were bullseye! If you’re not looking to spend a whole lot on money, this is the weapon you want. I highly recommend the purchase.

Being my first long rifle, I shopped around for a while. I chose this rifle after watching and reading tons of reviews, and I am very happy with my purchase. I haven't had any issues with it and have shot hundreds of rounds, both brass and steel without fail. Plus the price couldn't be beat.

Awesome rifle. My only problem is finding the right ammo to feed through it.

I bought this rifle as my son's firearm. It's a perfect fit with the 6 position stock. Mounted a Leupold scope and it shoots real close to moa. Maybe a touch over. Fit and finish are very nice, is it on the same level as my DDM4V7 no, but it's not $1800 either. It's a VERY good price point for an entry level AR15. Not malfunctions at all. Will make a nice coyote rifle for him. It's light and accurate.

Despite a slow start, Nick at buds pulled out an overall win. The M&P 15 continues to be way out ahead. I've had them since the first year rollout and they keep getting better. I retired my SP1 and Sporter to the vault and put my M&Ps to daily goto gun. The ONLY issue I've ever had was the chamber biting on steel cased ammo when the barrel got hot. Let it cool, push out the case, and keep going. I've had 6 over the years, I can't say I've seen a better gun for the money.

If you’re thinking about buying one, just save yourself the trouble and do it. I was wanting something reliable and fair priced. Upgraded to Magpul sl-k stock, Troy industries gas block, Midwest industries Handguard and Daniel defense irons. All this still for less than an overpriced version that I would change everything on anyway. Would do it again all day long.

I think S&W made a good product for the price. This is a solid overall Budget AR-15. Smooth Action and Good Accuracy. It's a good purchase for a first AR or to build onto. I bought this to add a bunch of extra AR furniture I had laying around the house. The gas block also lines up with the upper receiver so you can mount iron sights if you choose too.

Good gun at a great price. After I received the rifle, I gave it a good once over cleaning and lubricating, followed by 100 rounds through it... no issues whatsoever. Thanks Buds!

I can not say enough about this rifle. Its accurate, fast, and reliable. You get so much bang for your buck here. I have put well over 1k rounds through mine and I have yet to have an issue. I have shot nice premium rounds, and all the way to the cheapo tula steel stuff. This rifle does not care. It run smooth with anything and everything.
