This is a great pistol. Fit and finish are top notch. Ran perfect at the range. Probably the most accurate pistol i have. Trigger is a little heavy. waiting on my Volquartsen trigger.

I absolutely love this gun except for the thumb rest on the grips. Being a woman, the thumb rest makes the grip too big for my hand. I used a friend's that doesn't have the thumb rest and it was 5 stars. I wish I would have been given the option. Looking for different grips. Everything else is great.

Been buying Ruger .22 target pistols since the 80s . Never had a bad one. Mk IV is the pinnacle of the series . Never has the lower receiver been machined so beautifully ! The finish on this series is a cool bead blasted look ,which is also beautiful but may be much harder to touch up if scratched. All these pistols need is a Volquartsen trigger kit & you got yourself a top tier target pistol !

my personal feeling, the Ruger MK IV is the best platform for everyone from blinkers to advanced target shooters. Lots of models to choose from. I choose the slab side because of the weight and the looks aren’t bad either. I’ve shot around 1000 rounds through it so far without a malfunction. I’m hoping to get some accessories in my Christmas stocking.

This Ruger is so much nicer to clean than previous MK models.

Been waiting for awhile for this to come in stock. Out the box, this thing is amazing. I shot a buddy of mines Mark IV HUNTER and I had to have one. I settled with the competition and no regrets at all. Handles real well. Added a Holosun optic to the mix and this thing is just the best plinker out there. Every time I go out to the range the Mark IV is in the bag also. I do feed her CCI mini mags and she eats it up with no problems. Had some hookups with the CCI Standards so I went one level up to the Mini Mags and it solved the problem so far. I do need to get more magazines for her. Looking for something fun to shoot, the Mark IV competition is the way to go. Also want to thank BUDS for the free shipping, even to Hawaii. Mahalo BUDS!!!

Great pistol that is more accurate than the sights that come on it. The only complaint I have is that the front sight is so dang wide. I wish they could have put the iron sights from the 10/22 on there, which are a much finer set. Other than that, I have shot the heck out of this gun and it is a big hit with everyone that touches it.

Another quality Ruger pistol. Love to shoot it and love the stainless. Disassembly and cleaning is so much easier than my mark III. If I had any criticism it would be that Ruger still use their base sights on this "competition" pistol, so I had to change them out with a single dot fiberoptic front sight and "V" notch site in rear. Also, takes a while to break it in so expect some jams/stove pipes for a awhile. Have had it for a couple years now and it is one of my favorites.

I am very pleased with this version. I like the balance better than a longer barrel version. I removed the iron rear and front sights and added a Vortex red dot sight and a Volquartsen trigger. The accuracy of this pistol is excellent. I also like that the new Mk 4s are easy to break down and clean. I would recommend this pistol to anyone.

This is a very reliable firearm. It is extremely easy to break down and reassemble. I shoot competitively with this gun and shoot in the high 290’s constantly. I added a Vortex red dot scope, custom grips, and a Volquartsen trigger. If a misfire occurs it is the fault of the ammo not the firearm. I would highly recommend this firearm to the shooter who likes to win.

I am very pleased with this pistol. Fit and finish were absolutely flawless. The pistol’s weight and the large thumbrest on the target grips make it very stable for target shooting. I have had no malfunctions whatsoever using cheap standard velocity ammunition. The trigger is a little heavy for a target pistol, but breaks clean and allows excellent accuracy. There are aftermarket trigger accurizing kits which provide an improved trigger for competition shooters. The easy breakdown action of the Mark IV makes it ridiculously easy to clean and perform routine maintenance. A longer (12” or so) cleaning rod or bore snake is needed to reach all the way through the bore when cleaning from the breech end. Gorgeous gun and another great deal from Bud’s.

This is a fantastic .22 handgun. I learned to shoot handguns using a Ruger Mark iii 40 years ago. I always wanted to get one that was just like my uncles (the one I learned on) but it was never practical to buy a .22 handgun for just target shooting. Then I shot my buddies Mark iv... decided to buy myself a Christmas present.
I decided to buy it from Buds because it was the least amount of hassle. I picked the FFL I wanted it shipped to and Buds took care if the rest. It was in my hands 4 days after I bought it. Great service!
Comes in the Ruger case with 2 magazines, a cable frame lock and a red chamber flag. I love the push button take down. The frame is milled stainless steel and the trigger group is solid. I was going to buy the custom rosewood grips with the finger grooves cut into it but decided I like the factory grips that come with the pistol.

Sweet Piece to be sure. New design makes it much easier to keep clean! A little heavy, but then it is a Pro target shooter. A little pricey when first introduced. My Browning "Buck Mark"shoots 90%+ as good, for half the price.

Beautiful gun. This was my first order from buds and it was super easy. So easy that I just ordered another Ruger Mark iv. This gun does have target grips and the pictures do not capture the thumbrest on the left side of the gun. Easy to disasswmble and clean.

I bought the Ruger Mark IV Competition wanting another target-grade .22 pistol. I think the gun is capable of great accuracy but was disappointed with the trigger which is not target-grade. After taking the Ruger shooting once, I ordered an aftermarket trigger kit with full trigger adjustment and elimination of the magazine block feature. I love the ease of the new takedown procedure and I believe I will thoroughly enjoy the Mark IV with its much-improved trigger.

I love my new Ruger Mark IV competition pistol. I’ve shot about 500 rounds without a misfire or jam. Very accurate and fun to shoot. I’m currently looking into several upgrades and further improve the overall performance but I absolutely love the gun and would highly recommend it.

Great product. Very accurate out of the box. The weapon has some weight to it, so be aware. Ammo type is key. You have to make sure you pick and stick with ammo that is proven to cycle the bolt. Did I mention how beautiful it is? The finish is awesome. If there is one complaint I have about it, it is the magazines, They can really be tough to load. The spring seems to be stubborn, and trying to use the sliding button to ease loading rounds can become a pain to your thumb. Maybe a little WD-40 would help? I will try it and see.

Consistently hits 4"X6" steel plates at 75 yds. Fit and finish are excellent. The MkIV is the best of the Ruger MK series by far. Can be torn down and reassembled in a matter of seconds. The usual excellent service from Buds.

Just bought this pistol so I haven’t had much time shooting it but so far I love it. It’s a well made, very attractive pistol, easy to take apart and clean and a very good price. Bud’s made the purchase and transfer very easy and shipping was fast. I will buy my next gun from Bud’s.

Bought this gun in order to do some target practicing and not spend a lot of money on ammunition. I couldn't have asked for more. It feels great in your hand and is very accurate. I would recommend this to anyone looking to do the same.
