Buds service: Absolutely perfect, every single time. I am at the point where I won't order from anyone else unless Buds doesn't have it and won't be getting it in, because if they will get it in, I would rather wait and deal with them than another provider. The gun: I have about 300 rounds through it at this point, all 158 grain semi-wadcutter, gas checked, hard cast from 49/49/2 and water dropped. The gun is more accurate than I am capable of shooting so my target groups look amazing but I assure you it is the gun making me look better than I am. Fit and finish were really good and this has rapidly become one of my most favorite revolvers to shoot. I have used both 4227 and H-110 in this and I prefer the H-110. If I am going to shoot a magnum, I want to shoot magnum loads. This gun handles the full house magnum loads without a hiccup. I highly recommend this gun if you are wanting a double action 357.

The Ruger GP-100 is one of my favorite pistols. I have in with the 6” barrel and bought the 4.2 inch version to carry concealed. Shoots like a dream and tough as nails. You won’t be disappointed if you get one too!

Just a great gun to own for under a grand. Maybe one of the best. Put 50 rounds through it the day I got it. Shoots great. That new green fiber optic front was exactly what the GP100 series needed. 7 shot revolvers feel so much more than 6. Grips are quite thick but needed to shoot this beast of a gun easily and accurately. Double action is very good, you can stage this trigger very easily. The only drawback to this gun compared to a Colt or a Smith is the single action. It's kind of sludgy, not real crisp. But you will still shoot it just as good. This gun is a range warrior. And of course it's Ruger Tough. Nothing bad can ever be said about a Ruger GP100. It's meant for everybody!

I've always wanted a Ruger GP100. Excellent fit, finish, and appearance. Some of the best examples of Ruger craftsmanship is in their revolvers. Outstanding, beautiful piece.

Awesome looking firearm. Cartridges are very loose in the cylinder. Will probably have to add a sleeve. Other than that very pleased with my purchase.

Now this is a pistol cut from the good old days. The picture does not show you how much of a tank this gun is. Very heavy so it handles with magnum load with ease. The combo wood / rubber grip feels great in the hand. It is a real piece of art compared to the tupperware guns of today. The sights are really nice and the trigger is great as well. A great shooting revolve with that amazing Ruger value. I would buy it again.

I have looking/researching revolvers for several months now. Size, calibers, trigger, warranties, etc. I finally settled on the Ruger GP100 .357 magnum 7 shot. Ordered it from buds and it shipped same day. Gun is all I hoped it would be. Built like a tank, lower recoil even with magnum loads. Very pleased with the gun and the process from Buds.

As usual, this was yet another flawless transaction by Buds. Being a Team Buds member is more than worth the asking price. My firearm shipped one day after I paid and was at my FFL 2 days later all the way up here in Vermont. I just can't say enough what an absolute boon it is to be able to shop "at" Buds given how far out in the boonies I live. We have small gun stores with high prices and with Buds great prices, I can pay their price AND a $40 transfer fee and still come out way ahead! As for the Ruger GP 100 I purchased, what can I say? It is drop-dead sexy and built like a freakin' boat anchor. What's not to love???? Thank you Buds!!!!

Other reviewers are right--it's built like a tank. Unlike gun aficionados, I don't mind that the trigger isn't as smooth as a Colt's but then again, since the gun will be used for home defense (and concealed carry if I don't develop a hernia from carrying it), who cares? I'll be more concerned about hitting the target than how smooth the trigger feels. One nice side feature about the GP100 is the wealth of aftermarket stuff available for it--that's what swayed my decision to buy the GP100 instead of a Colt...besides it costing nearly half as much as the latter. As for fit and finish, it's very good. I also like the weight of it; I _like_ heavy guns...especially when shooting powerful cartridges like the .357. What's nice is I can practice shooting with .38s and save some doubloons...and it's nice knowing that if for whatever reason I can't find .357 ammo, I have a secondary choice of .38s. All in all, this is a gun that you won't trade away like others--it's stout, serviceable, reliable, and can fake out someone who thinks you only have six rounds when in reality you have seven. ; >

I put this gun on my "notify me" list about a year and a half ago. When I got notification I was so excited that I purchased it right away. When I picked it up, then I realized the physical size of this thing. It is a full size gun because of the 7 round cylinder. I was really hoping for something closer to the SP101 but I took it home anyway. If nothing else I thought I could trade it in on something else. I wasn't going to shoot it but I couldn't resist. I put 100 rounds through it and found it to be a delightful gun to use. I did have to adjust the rear sight one click from the factory setting but now it is dead on at 15 yards. The grip fits my larger hand size very well and the weight reduces the recoil to a very manageable level. The second shot is very close to the first. The trigger pull is smooth and predictable. The fit and finish are typical Ruger quality. I really like the wood insert in the grip. Overall, I'm very pleased with this gun. I'm going to keep it after all.

Love this beauty except was a little disappointed in the finish. Several blemishes in the stainless steel mainly on the frame. While is doesn’t affect the operation one bit I expected a little better quality. Especially at the price. But it’s a keeper.

Beautiful handgun! Been wanting a revolver for the longest time, and I checked Bud's, and they had this one! I'm a huge Ruger fan and used to own a Ruger Redhawk 44 Mag (which I still regret selling many years ago) and was wanting a .357 mag this time. Really nice revolver. Right out of the box, it was ready to shoot. The trigger it's really smooth. The adjustable sight it's great (no adjustment necessary). Very accurate. One of the best revolvers that I had the experience to shoot, maybe the best so far, in my opinion.

This is a very accurate gun. It is smooth shooting single or double action. It has a mild re- coil. I love it.
