CZ makes the best pistols. And this is a beautiful and good pistol. But for the price, I feel that it should have a better trigger. The trigger is light but the reset should be shorter. That's why i gave it 3 stars.

If you are on the fence about the Shadow 2, let me say this is the finest handgun I have purchased. My trigger out of the box is 8lbs 5.9 oz double action, and 2lbs 11.4oz single action. 5 pull average on a Lyman digital gauge. And smooth as butter. I also have a CZ P01 Omega with the CGW full lock work upgrade kit installed, and the trigger on the Shadow still just feels better. The pistol is heavy, but balanced just right. This gun just wants to run fast. Sights just seem to naturally fall right back on target. Quality, fit and finish are top notch. I believe this is the best value out there. I am by no means a competition shooter, but I now know why they are so popular in the sport. You won't be disappointed.

Very accurate and the front sight easy to see in low light

I've only put about 700 rounds through mine so far the ergonomics, and shootability are great, but I feel like the trigger could be better for the money paid.

First of all I must say that I am a novice when it come to guns. I have been shooting for about two years. I started with a Smith and Wesson .380 EZ. After that I bought a Smith and Wesson M&P M2.0 4”. There are a few others. When I saw this gun, the CZ Shadow 2, I had to have it. The difference between the CZ and my other gun is like night and day. That CZ’s trigger pull is so smooth, that I could not believe it. After the first double action, the single action is great. If you want to see what it is like to fire a premium gun, get the CZ Shadow 2. You will be in a state of shock after firing it.

CZ Shadow 2 SA/DA -- Seven days after I ordered it, I received it, factory sealed, opened the case for inspection and all was good. I cleaned it before getting to the range.Not one flaw inside or out, no machine marks - nothing! At the range, I punched out the center of a few paper targets (15 yds ) then got on the steel plates, and was putting them down really fast, for me anyway. No issues at all. I found that all the good reviews I have read about this gun are true. What a great trigger, really, really nice. Accurate and easy to shoot well. I sure didn`t need another gun, and it was hard to 'choke down' the cost, but this CZ looks and shoots like something I would pay a lot more for. I am sure glad I got it.

Super clean. I still cant get over at the steal of a price buds gun shop sold me this cz shadow 2. Got here in 7 days from initial purchase after verifying my information and the whole 9 yards security process but I must say it was worth waiting every second for it. A+ to Buds, A+ on the quality of the firearm, A+ to the FFL they recommended, A+ to the helpful staff at Buds gun shop they made the purchase super easy and pleasant. I'll be back for more guaranteed.

First I want to say that I couldn’t be happier with Buds. This gun was out the door the same day I ordered it and delivered to my FFL in two days.
The Shadow 2 is a fantastic gun. The gun looks sexy, the trigger is amazing and the recoil is minimal which allows me to get back on target quickly. I’ve taken it to the range twice now and I can say that it’s my favorite 9mm and I shoot it better than any other handgun I own.
Only negative for me is the front sight. It’s a small red fiber optic that works great in good light but sucks in poor lighting. It’s definitely meant for target shooting. I’ll probably switch out for a tritium site eventually.

The Shadow 2 shoots like a lazer. Feels like you are shooting a .380 even with max 9mm loads. Digested every kind of 9mm ammo I had with no hiccups. Groups are running 1" at fifteen yards but will probably do better when I find the right load. Single action trigger pull is a measured 2.9 lbs! It is a little different/slightly difficult to rack the slide right now. A little stiff and a narrow slide on this unit. I assume this will get better with use. You can manually thumb cock the hammer to help with racking of course. I am ordering a set of "Slide Spiders" to help with this. This is a range target gun to me, it seems too heavy for daily carry. Should do great for USPSA production class.

The Shadow 2 is the most accurate gun I own. The fit and finish are 100% perfect. The gun is heavy and difficult to rack for most people. I won't carry this gun for personal protection and it won't sit on my night stand. However, this firearm is a lot of fun to shoot and even novices can hit targets with ease. It brings a smile to everyone's face who shoots it. It's a great gun. I've fired 500 rounds through it and had one FTRTB on the 31st round. That's the only issue I've had. This was my first CZ firearm and I'm very impressed.

This gun is excellent from top to bottom. The machining and finish are flawless. The trigger is light and smooth. Top notch all the way.

Hot garbage right out of the box! For this price, I would expect a competition pistol to shoot straight out of the box. The sights are off so far left I can practically shoot around a corner. My Sig P365 is more accurate! It appears that it is going to be next to impossible to drift the sight myself without damaging the gun. I wonder how much more I will have to spend to get this gun to shoot right. Right now, it's a $1300.00 paperweight.

5 Stars! This firearm is set up for competition, right out of the box! Accuracy is right on the money with a nearly 5 inch barrel, which sits low in the frame. That positioning along with a weighted front, keeps the muzzle flip to a minimum. The cut out for getting your hand up higher into the tail, is great! Solid steel body and frame make this a heavy firearm, but easier to control. Trigger is light and easy. An experienced shooter can put a hole thru a hole at 50 feet, without much effort. The front site optic makes it easy to see, even in low light. The mag release can be changed to fit either right or left handed shooter.
The "Not so great" points; The take down is a little more difficult than I am used to with other firearms, just have to be patient. The slide release is fairly high and farther away from my thumb, making it slightly more difficult to close single handed. The fact that the slide is low profile, can take some getting used to when having to clear a misfire or racking.
Overall: Highly Recommend

Hands down the best pistol I own. Smooth, incredibly accurate, perfectly balanced and fits perfect in the hand. This pistol makes me a much better shooter then I actually am. I use to be exclusively a Sig guy, don't get me wrong they are fantastic pistols....but CZ is best in class in my opinion. This is my first CZ but much to my wife's unhappiness will not be my last. Can't say enough. Its like the new girl in high school, it gets everbodys attention when they see it.

Excellent firearm! This is my first CZ and I’m in love. Very heavy and well built. All components are tight. Extremely accurate out of the box and no issues in the first 1000 rounds. I’d actually like to purchase another one with the optic cut out. Buds was extremely fast and well priced. All around best purchase I’ve made in a while.

Best non 1911 trigger hands down! Had an incredibly short reset on SA pull. Very little muzzle flip very so very very easy to stay on target. Not to mention I love its balance. Also just something about an all steel pistol that just feels right. The red fiber optic sights are very bright. Personally I think red fiber optic front with blacked out rear is perfect for a none carry pistol. I'd like to some day get a 2011 but not until I'm ready to spend 2 to 3k on a pistol this will be my pride and joy. I can't recommend it enough I'm forever a CZ fan. And as always buds has the best price and best customer service.
