After a recent cleaning I was attempting to put one of my AR bolt assemblies back together, when I couldn't get the firing pin lockdown pin to go in. How frustrating! This was a typical stock "bobby pin" type of pin, and it apparently became spread apart (?) at the open end. I was happy to find this KNS pin and bought two. Slipped right in, much simpler, problem, solved.

Better than a cotter key! This little guy is awesome. It is easier to use, less likely to split, and fits AR15/10 carriers. I will install on all ar rifles

Does the job and you don't have to worry about the pin spreading apart and trying to get the two half together and through the bolt carrier. Plus the ends snap in and hold it in place.
