If you want an iconic, historic weapon of the old west, this is it! A lot of fun to shoot and gets a lot of attention at the range! It is beautiful to look at and great for hunting bigger game if you are in to single shot rifles. This is an awesome piece and Bud's had it when no one else did!

This is absolutely a fantastic Trapdoor Carbine. The fit and finish is great and love the color case finish on butt plate and the trap door. Took out and shot on the mark. It has a very nice hand rubbed oil finish and not that gloss found on some rifles. Nice walnut wood with very nice grain. The bluing finish is on the money. Very glad I got this fantastic Cimarron Trapdoor Calvary Carbine made for them by Pedersoli. Thank you Cimarron for doing this trapdoor at a great price and shipped fast :)

Exellent rifle the trigger is great this rifle is a pedersoli made to cimarron expecifications 1-18 barrel twist .457 diameter fit and finish are great thanks

This is an outstanding Firearm! My particular rifle just happens to have exceptional wood grain on the stock, and it has far exceeded my expectations. I have yet to see another Trapdoor rifle (original or reproduction) that is a beautiful as the one I now own. I also have several old west clones in my collection including the 1860 Henry, 1866 Yellowboy, 1873 Winchester, 1876 Winchester (45-75)..., and now I can add this 1873 Cimarron Trapdoor Carbine (45-70) to that collection. Nothing better than shooting the guns of the old west, and this is very fun to shoot. If you are thinking of buying one, what are you waiting for?

This is just a great firearm. I collect reproductions of old west arms and this rifle is as close to realism as is possible to get in a reproduction. I intend to fire it and display it and just enjoy owning it. For anyone contemplating purchase my advice is to buy. I was not disappointed in any way with my purchase.
