These are good guns for the price, good fit and finish as well as a lifetime warranty with good U.S. service. It's not the quality of say a Smith and Wesson but it is not that price either, these are a serviceable, good grade gun for those times you don't need to spend a mint to get a really nice one, probably just as long lived but just not quite as pretty or precise but still good and strong.

I found exactly what I was looking for at Buds! I wanted a small reliable compact revolver that I could carry in my pocket that'll would be safe and dependable in the event I needed to quick respond to a threat. The revolver was impressive on the shooting range! The excellent price, the speedy delivery and the complete purchase went as smooth as "clockwork!" I paid around $300 for this on sale. Love it. Bought it because it fires EVERY time with no misfires. It's a go to for home defense. Easy to hide, and shoots +P ammo with no issues.

Perfect place to start. Fun enough at the range… but just got it for home defense. 5 years trouble free ownership. Buds great, Taurus great.

A nice little revolver without spending alot I keep mostly as a night stand gun but take it to the range every so often, no issues anytime I went to range with it and of course A+ customer service from Buds.

I bought this for my wife. We attended a couple local gun shows and she test drove a whole slew of snubbie 38s. The grips on the Taurus felt best to her and seemed to fit her best. I liked that the one she felt fit best was also a steel frame. Yes, it is heavier to carry. But this little 38 packs a punch and I've fired feather weight handguns before and recoil is always higher. I didn't want my wife's shooting experience to be marred by a heavy recoil when a little more weight in the hand would solve much of that. Of course, never being a fan of getting gouged (especially in this time of heightened gun hoarding and buying frenzy) we didn't want to pay gun show prices. The obvious alternative was Bud's. Fair price, fast delivery, and easy purchase process always makes Bud's our first choice.

Great little double action revolver, close range accuracy is good with a little practice,finish on the gun is easy to keep clean with a silicone cleaning rag ,would highly recommend for a pocket or purse gun

This is a great standard overall pistol. Nothing fancy but exceptionally reliable. It has a great grip for all hand sizes, including small grips. It gives you exactly the performance you expect from a revolver and great consistency for hundreds of rounds at the range each time.

Awesome weapon. Eventually sold it, but I plan to buy another.

For the price you can't beat this. It's a lot a fun to shoot. It's a long hard pull in double action. I have carried this a couple of times and it travels well. Easy to conceal. I wish it was a smoother reload using a speedloader. The grip seems to get in the way. Speedloaders still work you just have to be a tad careful when using. As always a smooth transaction from Bud's.

I've had the m85 for about a year now. It arrived with some surface rust and gummed up with cosmoline or whatever they use now. It took a thorough cleaning for the cylinder to cycle correctly but I have not had a single issue since. The options for aftermarket grips on these newer models are severely limited. I wanted a cheap, rugged EDC that I could trust to function if it was needed. This fits the bill. It's not what I would call a quality firearm, and I'll never brag about it but it simply works and that's good enough for me. I think it's a very good value for those not wanting to spend twice as much on a S&W.

It's been almost a year since I've bought this gun. This was my first revolver and I'm glad I bought it. Although I only shot about 300 rounds through it, it felt really good in the hand, and it's very concealable. The single action trigger pull is remarkable. The double action is a bit heavy, but that makes it a really good self defense gun. The rubber grips somewhat hinders the speed loaders. But a great first time revolver purchase.

Nice .38, good for a edc. The matte finish is not done well at all, I think Taurus should re-think there process for the finish. My finish wore off the barrel and the cylinder in 1 week of holster use. Tried 2 different holsters and the matte finish was worn off by both holsters. I think if Taurus is going to keep that finish they need to re- think the price tag. Other than that it’s a nice little shooter. Taurus should go back to the blued finish.

wish I had 2 more just like it. This is the best carry gun I have every had, except for the PT 111.

Great for the price. So far a solid iron. I have only probably put 150 rounds through it.

Very pleased with this revolver. It is accurate, has a good trigger and I actually like it better than my Ruger lcr. The "raging bull" grips absorb the recoil but are not too big to carry concealed. Double action firing is easy and the trigger stages the way it should. Single action is outstanding. Only thing that could be better is the flat black finish might not be too durable. A winner IMHO.

Great carry gun! I bought this for my wife and we've put a little over a hundred rounds through it. Works flawlessly every time, and surprisingly accurate for what it is. Pocket carry is a little difficult to manage unless you have a big coat pocket, but IWB carry works well. The action/trigger was gritty when we first got it, but dry firing and breaking it in at the range has loosened it up wonderfully. Definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a carry gun and loves revolvers. Taurus really has come a long way.

I read numerous reviews before I purchased the M85. Many were negative. This is my first center-fire wheel gun and I couldn't be more pleased. The trigger pull is amazing, accuracy is better than expected for a 2" barrel and recoil is negligible. My only complaint is the cylinder is a bit sticky when I go to drop it down to reload. But I'm thinking that will free up with a little more use. I'm more than satisfied with this little wheel gun given the entry level price. Having numerous semi auto pistols in my collection, I wouldn't hesitate buying another Taurus revolver.
