i AM EXTREMELY HAPPY WITH THE CZ 457 RIFLE THAT iI PURCHASED. IT IS A GREAT ADULT 22 AND THE EXCELLENT SHOOTER THAT I EXPECTED AND HOPE IT WOULD BE.

Totally satisfied with the 457 and Buds service. I am late to getting this review posted, have sent thousands of rounds downrange and the only bullets it does not shoot well is 60gr, Aquila.

This was the first time I bought from Bud's and everything went perfectly, fast shipping to my FFL. Both guns were new as described, very happy

great rifle very accurate Cz as always does not disappoint I’ve been buying their rifles for years and have not yet had one that was not extremely accurate this rifle shot great with most ammo but match grade ammo was producing laser like accuracy the safety location is great I did buy some of the metal magazines to go with the rifle as I was not sure of the longevity but after 3000+ rounds the plastic mags show little wear

I really like this rifle. Except for the trigger. It started at 4.5lbs and I got her down to 3lbs. That is as low as the adjustment will go. "For me ", that is still waaaay to heavy even for hunting. The checkering is great. Metal to wood fit is perfect. Though I lucked out and got a highly figured piece of lumber I can't really see it except in bright sunlight because it is stained so dark. I haven't taken her to the range yet. Not till I get the trigger right. So I can't say how she shoots?

Here is what you need to read about this gun. My son was shooting it at practice for the Shooting team, he could not shoot a good group. So I said let me have a try. As I was getting ready, to fire the first shot, a fly landed on the target. As My son watched through the spotting scope, I shot the fly. I told him there was nothing wrong with the gun.

The 457 American is an exceptional piece.

This is a quality firearm. I had a 3-9 40mm scope not being used that I mounted with Taley low rings which just cleared the barrel. In very little time at the range I was shooting 3/4 " groups at 50 yards with CCI range ammo. The rifle feels good to hold, and is made with all steel components, and nice furniture exuding a classic feel with top drawer accuracy. Reminded me of a fifties Remington 511 I shot in matches as a kid, except more accurate. Only negative was the one 5 round mag included. Had to buy several CZ expensive 10 rounders. The mags look like a cheap polymer items but work flawlessly and smoothly, so looks are deceiving. Not the cheapest 22 bolt, but you really get what you pay for in this beauty.

This is my third purchase from Buds. I love your service; fast shipping, and good customer support. The rifle came in an excellent condition as always in the past. I would be able to shoot 22Short/22L & 22Lr on this CZ 457. It is my first CZ rifle. I really like it. It is one of my best accurate hunting rifles that I ever own. Thank you again, Buds.

Bought this gun a few weeks ago. Gun arrived quickly. I like the look and feel of the gun alot. I wish my stock had some more figure like others I've seen but you get what you get. I still like that dark walnut color though and its a pretty looking gun. Everything works great. Little heavier than I expected but its mostly for target shooting/prone shooting so not a problem. This thing also shoots very quiet. I have shot many .22 rifles and this thing is the quietest by far, it almost sounds like its suppressed believe it or not. I put a vortex scope on it and a bipod and this thing shoots like a dream. I tried several ammo types with this gun including remington thunder, federal bulk, winchester super x, cci sv, and eley target. So far the cci and eley target ammo is noticeably more accurate at 50 yards. Was just casually shooting 1 inch and smaller groups with that ammo, would be even tighter if I was slowing down and trying. This is kind of an heirloom quality .22 in my opinion. I went back and fourth between this, a 10/22 and a savage but ultimately went with this, even though it was the more expensive option. I really liked the wood and I really wanted the accuracy. I'm confident this will out shoot the other 2 now that I have shot it myself and I'll be happy to take care of this gun and hand it down to my kids someday.

This is one fun rifle. I purchased the .22LR model originally, it's super accurate and with CCI quiets it sounds like it has a suppressor, perfect for backyard plinking. I've also bought the .17 HMR barrel from CZ, and the ease of changing the barrels makes this my favorite rimfire rifle without a doubt.

This rifle was better than expected. The wood was great! Delivery was very quick and sent to a dealer close by.

I feel I got money’s worth out of this rifle. Buds sent me a decent stock, trigger after you adjust is good. I’ve had to work to find ammo that gives me 1/2” group at 50yds. My rifle likes sk long range match, Lapua center-x, Fiocchi 320, sk standard plus. Cheap ammo, expect 1”-2” groups. It is very clean and attractive rifle and has accuracy potential. I use Talley high rings for 40mm objective scope. Quality rifle.
