The CZ MTR speaks for itself as one of the best moderately priced .22lr firearms available today that are known for their accuracy and they have a lot of aftermarket support for the buyer that likes to tinker. As usual Buds was great to deal with and like always a painless transaction from start to finish with quick shipping to my FFL. You will not be sorry either with the choice of buying this rifle or the choice of buying it from Bud's!

I am very impressed with the CZ457 MTR it shoots great. I add the AREA 419, bolt knob. Since this picture I also added a front bipod rail and Timney trigger. Would recommend to anyone as you can'y beat it for price and quality.

It is a fantastic fire arm finish and fit is perfect. This is my first purchase online my experience with Buds has been flawless. Will definitely use them again.

Looks as good or better when you hold it in your hands. Wood and workmanship are excellent. Sighted in last weekend and shoots as good as it looks (was not able to measure groups as my pasters kept falling off but easily sub moa). Added Area 419 arca rail, 30 degree picatinny rail and bolt knob to set up for precision shooting. Wish came with 10 round mag/more than one mag as they can be hard to find (and for the price would perhaps expect an additional one).

Have been wanting one of these mtr's for quite some time. Although I am perfectly happy with my 457 varment I still just had to have it. Buds made it easy. Shipped it out next day. 3 days later it was in my hands. Great shooter. Not as ammo picky as I thought it would be. This was my 3hrd. 457. Loving them so much I already have my eye on another. Will purchase that one from buds as well. Dollar for dollar you won't find anything better.

I read a lot on the CZ 457 Varmint MTR. This .22 Rim Fire Rifle lives up to every word I have read. The Fit and Finish is 100%. The Turkish Stock looks as if it cost the price of the Rifle alone. The adjustable Trigger is a great plus. This is a true Target Quality Rifle at a good price. I may just order another one in 17HRM. Best of the deal Buds had one in stock.

Love my CZ 457 MTR. This is my second one. My granddaughter and I will have some 100/200yard friendly matches as soon as our summer temperatures cool down. I am very impressed with the quality and workmanship CZ provides. Highly recommend this rifle.

Short review - rifle shoots beautiful and looks amazing . CZ is quality

This is by far one of the nicest .22 rifles that I have owned. CZ does an excellent job. The rifle shoots great. The trigger is awesome out of the box. This is becoming one of my favorite .22's to shoot.

this is a very accurate 22 LR. It has a beautiful appearance with the Turkish walnut and well done blueing. The bolt went from being fairly smooth to slick after a couple hundred rounds. Quality ammo allows for sub MOA at 100 yds. It is admired by my fellow shooters and despised by their wives. They are hard to get, and harder to outshoot. I’ve got custom Kidd and Volquartsen 10/22 rifles that are very accurate. This CZ outshoots them. Buds got it to my FFL quickly and I have only had great experiences with them. This is a match chamber gun and prefers quality ammo for best results.

Great rifle! Great transaction! A little finicky as to what ammo it likes. Lapua Pistol King, Center-X, Midas + RWS R-50 etc

This rifle is an amazing deal at the price. Heavy, well suited to competition with an easily adjustable trigger and a great barrel.

I love this rifle. Before I bought this, a buddy of mine brought a CZ 452, American I think, to the range and I knew I wanted one too. I got online and googled CZ, which led to Bud's. I saw the 457 MTR was available, so I grabbed it. That was about two and a half years ago, just before the pandemic. I like the weight of the rifle, and love the walnut stock, although I'm not a big fan of the stippling type of engraving. I also wish the "Varmint MTR" and the other information hadn't been engraved in the wood. But I give it 5 stars despite this. It's very accurate, and I actually won a local Bench Rest competition the first time I entered (factory class). Beginner's luck! I put an Area 419 15moa rail on it and mounted a Weaver 46 power scope. The factory trigger is GREAT, but even better with a YoDave spring installed. Recently I put in a Timney trigger, but don't see much difference.

My CZ 457 MTR is having accuracy issues. Contacting CZ to see if this can be rectified. Buddy of mine has the same rifle his shoots great mine does not, I can swap my rifle with his, shooting the same ammo from one batch, his is spot on mine is throwing fliers consistently. Hope CZ will back up this product.

Rifle quality not as nice as I would have expected

I have not shot the rifle yet, but the stock has some pretty nice wood on it and it was shipped pretty quickly. Bud's price are great also!

Buds is always fast and efficient in their ordering process, and I am very happy with this rifle. I purchased it to compete in factory class ARA benchrest competition and so far in practice it is a very accurate and easy shooting rifle.

This gun is a real tack driver. My first five shot group was dime sized. The trigger was nice with no creep or slack. I highly recommend this CZ 457 to anyone wanting a nice accurate rifle.

I researched this rifle extensively before purchase. It has definitely lived up to all of th positive reviews. Fit and finish are excellent. The only criticism I have is CZ lasered the serial number and logo on the bottom of the bolt. This leaves rough spall that needs to be stoned and polished. Extra magazines are very hard to find. I found 2 polymer magazines for a CZ 455 that work. As of this writing, there were no other I could find, even checking several European sources.
The majority of reviews show the rifle locked into a lead sled, with match ammo used. I've put 500 rounds of various types of ammo through the rifle, on a bipod with an 8-32 scope. At 50 yards, with most ammo, I managed quarter sized or smaller groups. It's definitely more accurate than I am. If you're considering this rifle, I can recommend it absolutely.

The rifle is perfect for the Factory Class competition ARA American Rimfire Association

First, the service from Bud's Guns is by far the best; easy ordering and tracking to my FFL. The CZ 457 MTR is near perfection right out of the box. After a cleaning of the barrel and a few drops of oil on the bolt, and mounting my scope, I headed to the range to season the barrel and to zero the scope. At 50 yards, using non-match standard ammo, my first shots produced 0.60 inch groups and continued to do so after zeroing. On my next trip out, I used the Norma Match ammunition to fine tune zero. At 50 yards I produced consistent 0.25 groups. Bar none, right out the box, the best rifle.The ergonomics, the balance, the smoothness of the bolt/receiver action, the craftsmanship, and the accuracy make this a great buy.

The 457 is quite a upgrade from my 455. Typical CZ quality. Very accurate even though I haven't had much time to try different ammo. But everything seems to be working better than my 455 and I thought it was very good. So if you're on the fence just get it you won't regret it.

I have found this CZ 457 MTR to be as good as expected. The stock is beautiful and it is hard to find a more complete firearm at this price point. Straight from the box I found the accuracy was very good and this without even running several different brands of ammo though it to find what shoots best. If you are like me and enjoy bench shooting, then I would recommend this rifle. It's a lot of fun and the craftsmanship is typical CZ!

Tack driver with the right ammo! So far I’ve had good luck with Wolf ammo with some more to test. Fit and finish is well, CZ! Beautiful piece of walnut, the machine work is A+! Just buy it.
