I really like Mossberg's first modern handgun and their reentry into the handgun market. A solid choice for CCW. Takes Glock 43 mags which is a plus. Smooth and reliable pistol.

Has a good fit in the hand and trigger pulls smoothly. Easy takedown button allows for quick cleaning.

Great pistol. Have heard nothing but good things about this handgun and once I got one for myself I can see why. Great CCW. Fits nicely in my hands and shoots fantastic. Ran CCI blazer ammo through it and no jams or malfunctions to speak of. Would recommend to any person looking for a concealed carry pistol.

I bought my MC1 before all of the Covid-19 craziness, so I was able to pick one up for the incredibly low price of $246! I had heard very good things about it on the JUSTIN OPINION and HONEST OUTLAW YouTube channels, so I thought I'd give it a try. I have been extremely pleased with the pistol and now use it in my carry rotation along with my beloved Ruger LC9S Pro. It has a good trigger and really good sights. And with ammo that it likes, it is crazy accurate. If you're looking for a quality carry pistol, I would strongly recommend the MC1... even if it doesn't cost $246 anymore!

Very well made pistol, don't let the polymer mags steer you away, they are tough, the best factory trigger I've ever seen.

Long story short I like this gun and I reccomend purchasing it. Short story long I was concerned out of the box. The first day I had the gun I took it straight out to the range. I didnt clean it, only put a little Rem oil on it racked the slide a few times and started putting lead down range. I immediately began experiencing malfunctions. Failure to feed, failure to eject, and failure to go into battery. Things got a little better as I shot the gun but still experienced failure to go into battery at least 2-3times per magazine. I left the range thinking I bought a lemon. I went home and did a little research into the issues but was not hopeful because my initial research into the gun yielded only praise and nothing in the way of criticism. But I did find a YouTube video where the shooter purposely limp wristed the recoil and was able to elicit a failure to go into battery malfunction while all other shots proceeded without issue. I have been shooting for 14 years and never in my life have I had a malfunction from limp wristing a gun. But this is the first subcompact my gigantic hands have ever fired and so I was out of my element. I greased up the lubrication points, grabbed onto that gun with a more firm grip, and better hand placement, filled her with some better quality ammo and put another 300 rounds through this bad boy with only 2 malfunctions. One was I inadvertantly depressed the magazine release with my new unamiliar grip and the other was a failure to go into battery. I took her out again today and while I only fired 50 rounds I didnt have a single malfunction. So out of the box, for me this gun needs a little familiarization, lube, and lots of rounds until I was comfortable with reliability. Shootability: Is great like a glock but better. I dont know what the specs are but it feels like there is a little more travel in the trigger prior to reset than a Glock but it is negligable. Carryability: it is easy to forget this gun is there. With its slim profile and reduced weight from the single stack 9mm even with carrying an extra backup 7 rd factory Magazine. The soft curves on the frame and snag free Sig Sauer #8 sights even a chubby guy like me dosent get pinched and scratched with the slide while concealed carrying. The handgrip checkering is designed in a way that provides a secure hold but dosent tear up your skin either. Now the magazines while they are cheap in price which is nice. I find that when feeding the last round into the magazine the plastic on the body of the magazine that holds the rounds in place feels as if it is maeable and may not last forever like other metal lined magazines. The mags just feel cheap.

After taking the MC1 to the range, it is now my new EDC... and the wife wants her own for EDC now too. Gun was flawless, accurate and felt natural in the hand. The take-down is interesting and simple. I was a bit unsure about the mags, but they've been solid so far. My only gripe is the 6 rnd mag leaves the pinkie hanging like so many other sub-compacts, so I ordered another 7 rnd. The trigger is a factory gem. Mossberg knocked it out of the park with this gun.

I have had this Mc1sc for 3 weeks and put 500 rounds through it. I’ve only had one failure to eject and that was with a new ets g43 mag. After I got the ets mag broken in its had zero issues. The mags it comes with and the factory Glock 43 mags have been flawless. I’ve used aluminum, steel and several different brass loads including federal, remington, hornady and barnes hollow points with no failures. It’s very accurate and I highly recommend it. I ordered from Bud’s on a Thursday and it was at my ffl the next day!

Just put 100 rounds through the MC1 with flawless action with Blazer ammo. Target grouping mostly within 6" except. Take down and cleaning was very simple. Like this pistol as much as my Glock 26 or Sig 928! Buds delivered on time and is respected my local FFL shop. Can't say anything bad. Just waiting for more 7 round extended magazines that are currently "Out of Stock" at Mossberg. Hopefully, a "pinky" extension will work on the 6 round magazines. Apparently, the Glock 23 magazines will work but at 2x the cost of Mossberg's stock 6 round magazine. Highly recommend you try the Mossberg and get it from Bud's. Their service is great!

It's good to see Mossberg back in the pistol market after a hundred year absence to focus on shotguns. The MC1sc is a great product to reenter the pistol market. It's in the same class as the Glock 43, Kahr PM9 and the Kimber Micro 9. Like the Kahr, the metal parts are the very tough DLC finish (essentially an outer ceramic coating) over stainless steel. This makes an extremely durable firearm for everyday pocket carry. I've been carrying the PM9 for 12 years and have not been gentle with it, but I can wipe off the pocket lint and it looks almost new, with only minor wear to the polymer frame. I'd expect similar durability for the MC1sc. The only aspect of the MC1sc that seemed less than ideal were the magazines. The clear magazines had an inexpensive feel to them that was inconsistent with the impression of quality that the MC1sc otherwise exudes. There was some rattle of the magazine springs when empty. They functioned fine, so this is probably just a subjective issue. However, the MC1sc uses Glock 43 magazines. Mossberg doesn't make a big deal about this, but it was a stroke of genius. The G43 magazines functioned flawlessly in the MC1sc. Initial out-of-the-box functioning of the MC1sc was perfect, and this was one of the earliest batches released by Mossberg that would usually be most likely to have problems. It's snappy to shoot like all of the pocket 9mm pistols. I liked the looks of the straight trigger, but the trigger feel wasn't quite as nice as the G43 and not nearly as nice as the PM9, but it's a pocket pistol and not a competition pistol. Disassembly isn't complicated but it is different. Watch a quick video and it's not a problem. The MC1sc is a great entry into the very competitive pistol market. I'm looking forward to more pistols from Mossberg. Hopefully, Crimson Trace will make a green laser for the MC1sc soon.
