I really like this gun for a few reasons. 1911 platform is my favorite so shooting 9mm is that much better in this heavy man tank. I also loved the price point since I planned on practicing acid etching which by the way looks killer. I sure wouldn’t try it on a safe queen. I carry it everywhere in my truck. This is a truck gun. I did have to polish my feed Ramona little so as to shoot critical defense Ammo but with Ball ammo, never a problem after at least 500 rounds through it.

well made, quality firearm at a bargain price. I've fired about 200 rounds through it with 0 malfunctions. Wilson Combat magazines did not work in this gun, even after advice from Wilson. Exceptional bargain for a quality, no frills 1921 9mm pistol

Great for the 1911 lover. Good for practicing since the pice of ammo being like it is. Mags are easy to get too

Was very happy with the gun. Once again Buds did a good job getting it to me in a short time. Only problem I have is that I would like to have 2 magazines, and none are to be found. I wish Rock Island would at least ship it with 2 magazines. Product gets 5 stars! Buds gets 10 stars for good service!

Solid 1911. Good weight to the gun and love the look of it. gun came really oiled up so had to break it down a couple times to clean it. Rather have a gun come packaged in oil than come dry out of the box. Love buds for all my ammo and gun purchases

Have around 1000 rounds through this and only one FTF ,and that was steel case Tula ammo,not the guns fault. Fit and finish has held up nicely.Very accurate and for the money can't be beat,one could buy two of these for the price of one of the more expensive brands,and quality and reliability are equal. Fast shipping and great service.

This is a very fine weapon. It shoots well and there a no problems with jamming. I highly recommend it to anyone who is thinking of purchasing one.

Anyone who owns an expensive 1911 should look at the fact that this weapon is a great shooter and, even with a few upgraded parts. is still much less expensive with good fit and finish.

I would like to say that this is a very solid gun! Shoots dead center right out of the box! I was impressed with the polishing of the integrated feed ramp. The trigger isn’t the greatest but it’ll do. I do wish that it came with at least one extra magazine But other than that the parkerized finished is great. It’s my new favorite 9mm. I like it so much I started carrying it as my EDC. Thanks too buds gun shop for the easy transaction as always!

The weight of this gun + the 9mm cartridge makes for a very accurate 11 round 1911 that has the recoil of a Ruger mark iv. This is a true original spec gi 1911 and the grip and trigger are perfect.

5 stars to Buds for a speedy delivery. 1 star to Rock Island Armory. I purchased the GI Standard with wood grips. At the time of my purchase,Febuary 2021 the picture of the firearm and description was for wood grips. Mine was sent with the black grips.I reached out Armscor, they said the GI Standard doesn't come with wood grips anymore, sold separately. It was changed last year. Armscor website still has the description for wood grips.Way to be on top it. At least Buds was able to change their description and it only took a week or so.

This was my first personal handgun, and I was very excited for it. Ive always wanted a 1911 since I was young. Long story short, the gun is beautiful, the recoil is very well controlled, but the huge problem that I had with my firearm is that is jams ALL THE TIME. Ive put about 400 rounds through my 1911, and its jammed at least once on almost every since mag. The spent shell will half eject, and get pinched in the chamber by the next incoming round. Happens so much. I figured that I just needed to hit its 500 break in period, but now that its been a few months, it is still jamming and giving me problems with every mag, and I can't return the firearm because its past its 10 day return period. I went out and bought a Glock 43x to replace this until I get things sorted out.

Very good 1911 for the price. The fit and finish is very good, and it shoots well with a slight pull to the left, but that could just be me getting used to the grip. I had 3 Failure to Eject in the first 75 rounds Blazer Brass, but I expect that like most handguns, it needs break in especially since everything is metal against metal. I had considered this item for a while, and the rebate helped me decide to buy it now. I did not read the terms of the rebate until after I received the gun, and learned then that it was for $50 off merchandise, which is good if you need it and can't find it anywhere else. Be aware, that the merchandise is about 25% overpriced and the delivery charges are about double what is reasonable; I am paying $17.50 to get a small item using FedEx ground (10 days), and that was the only option. I estimate that I got $25 value from the $50 rebate. As for Buds, they are great and I give Buds 5 stars.

Very happy with this 1911. Handles well 200 rounds put through it not one fail to load or misfire. A bonus was that it did come with a Ten round magazine.

Buds was great as usual. Price was right and the gun was more or less as expected. Love the GI look. Parkerized, in my opinion, doesn’t look nearly as good as blueing, but for a bargain price you can’t have everything. No complaints about the machining, parts, or materials. All in all I think it’s a great value.
