This pistol may seem heavy to those who are use to Glocks or any other “lighter” manufacturer’s but it is solid. This pistol loves eating flat nose, heavier bullets so keep this in mind before purchasing. (180 grain and up) I shoot Underwood 200 grain JHPs and it’s an animal. Whatever threat is in front of you will be humbled by this package. Thanks again Buds

It ran good no problems. I like the wide grip. I have large hands. The pistol is pretty heavy. I got it for a garage gun. For that it is perfect.

this is one fine 10 mm fit is real tight nice finish super accurate put about 290 rds threw it no promblems if you don’t own one you might consider getting one before there all gone

Great weapon. No issues firing or with fit and finish. I ended up having an issue with the grip size. I have big hands and this grip was still not as comfortable shooting as I would like. I will probably look for a single stack 10 next

Beast of a gun, runs any 10mm ammo. Shot 500rds so far and haven't had one hiccup . Nice and heavy, definitely takes away alot of recoil

As always shipment, purchase, and customer service was stellar with Buds. The fit and finish are surprisingly good for a budget gun. Range time so far has been limited but I've got 500 rounds down range and not so much as a hiccup yet. Reasonably accurate even during break in period. I was grouping about fist size at 20 yards with cheap/dirty ammo. do hate that the aftermarket for grips is less than accommodating, but I suppose that isn't RIA's fault. Even with the stock grips I can get a pretty good purchase on the pistol and have no issues with them functionally, I had just hoped for a few more options for customization.

I love this pistol! I have now shot 500+ rounds of Blazer aluminium, Armscore and my own 10mm reloads with out 1 failure to fire. It works perfectly and very accurate but I am a very good shot. I am a USMC Vietnam Veteran and I sure would love to have this weapon over there. Love the pistol!

There is nothing bad to say about this pistol. Had looked for one for a long time and Buds came through. Rock Island is always flawless and always stands behind their products. Would always buy another. And would highly recommend Buds to anyone and everyone!!!!!

Shoots great. Its huge and pretty heavy but it handles the recoil pretty well. Its not practical at all but that was the whole reason I bought it. I love 10mm. Some of the fit and finish is a bit to be desired but its a Rock Island not a Nighthawk.

1911 in 10mm with 16 1 how can you go wrong. This gun hasn't had a single issue after 1000's of rounds. I feel very confident carrying it big critter defense in the woods. You won't be disappointed.

This thing is a real beast.. I carry it in a chest holster in bear country, Alaska, loaded with high pressure Bear Loads - hard cast lead bullets. Be advised, this gun was designed to feed round nose bullet ammo. I haven't had problems with truncated cone hard cast lead bullets but FMJ truncated bullets would FTF about 2 in 10 rounds.. love this gun and it's a blast to shoot...

Outstanding transaction with Buds by facilitating the shipment and delivery to my local FFL in PR within 5 days. The gun came with a thick layer of cosmoline, which Metro Gun Armory guys helped me clean in the store (that was a great help). Upon further cleaning of the gun at home, the first negative comment I have is the requirement of finding a paper clip to fix as a tool and install in the barrel hole, as a way to break down the gun for recoil spring and guide rod removal from the slide, and allowed the bull barrel removal from the slide. Once at the range, and due to the restriction in ammo selection, I was able to purchase Blazer 180 gr FMJ, Sig V-Crown 180gr JHP and Federal Fusion 200gr JHP (bonded round). Had a few (3) failures to feed with the blazer ammo within the first 100 rounds. Upon firing 140 rounds total, after reloading several times the only magazine the gun comes with, I noticed that the slide showed scoring marks from the casings during the ejection cycle. I will recommend RIA to include at least two magazines in the box for this gun and to look into the ejection process for the slide not to get damage during the ejection cycle. For the price, my personal opinion is that this gun is a good accurate gun, that feels good in the hand, with a low recoil feeling in the hands. The gun is a little heavy, which in my opinion allows for the well balance performance while sooting. After a thorough online research, i found out zero available spare magazines (A2 1911 40SW10mm 16rd). I regret not purchasing a Glock 20 instead, which was available at the time of my purchase, but now are sold out as well. Again, BIG THANKS to Buds for the phenomenal support during the transaction.

Very pleased with this firearm! I was previously unfamiliar with RIA products but, a friend shared his experience so I gave this one a try. Very accurate right out of the box after a thorough cleaning. Tried 3 separate loads for this initially and all 3 shot very well at 3 different distances. I would definitely recommend this firearm.

This is the heaviest pistol I've ever held when loaded. The grip texture is a little weak and a replacement seems hard to find so far as there is an unusual flap near the safety. The front checkering is only vertical and is sunk into the frame so doesn't really grab your fingers much. The finish is wearing a bit already. It only comes with one magazine and it's made of pretty thin metal.
All said, I LOVE this gun. It has not had a single malfunction yet. The double stack makes for a large grip which I love. The 10mm comes out with a nice punch and the weight of the gun makes for comfortable shooting. It's a metal guide rod and the spring has serious snap to it. I expect to upgrade this at some point but it's pretty much exactly what I was hoping to get for the price in a reliable double stack 10mm.
Buds delivered well within my time expectation and sent updates as always. I've never purchased from anyone else online.

Gun ran perfect at the range no hic-ups. Used 180 grain range ammo all I could find 9/15/2020.
Accuracy and trigger pull seem good to me. Only issue is the take down ( has no barrel bushing ) works like 3" Kimber 1911. just a little tricky compared to a standard 1911. You have to make a paper clip to hold the recoil spring/guide rod It's not provided. Only one magazine Metgar I believe. I think they could provide 2 Mags and the silly paper clip tool for the price charged. No problems at all with Buds.

I love the gun. It is everything I had hoped BUT; It began jamming at about every eight or tenth round. So I contacted Armscore and they are currently looking at it. I took issue with the line in some of their paperwork that reads. "There is a 500 Round Break in Period". I don't think anyone who purchases a firearms expects to have to run 500 round through it to break it in. Ammo is expensive these days...in which case they should provide the 500 rounds.
Looking forward to it coming back. It's a fun gun to shoot!

An excellent quality pistol as compared to higher priced pistols in same class.

Shipping was fast. I ordered on Wednesday then received it Monday. Great looking gun that shoots great and the best thing about this purchase is being able to make payments instead of 1 whole payment. I also got a lifetime warranty on this pistol so if anything should break I'll be covered.

Costs half of competing models and comes with a boatload of 1911 add ons. This is an attractive weapon that shoots as good as it looks. An add on you don't see is the lifetime warranty. The pistol is warranted for the life of the gun, not your life. If you sell it, the warranty goes with it to the new owner. I haven't had opportunity to try the warranty. There are several youtube videos that mention RIA warranty services warmly. A couple of points to consider: will this fit my hands? and am I strong enough to operate it? In my case, my hands are large, not Hickock large, but I have to wear at least extra-large gloves. The size is perfect for me. The pistol will weigh close to 4 pounds with a full magazine. So, you should consider your hand and arm strength before buying this weapon. Which brings me to what it's best suited for. If you are going to a location known to have bears, it might be a good choice for dealing with bears attracting you. Similarly, it's a good hunting caliber. The 10 mm is a potent round, so it should be well suited for hunting. It's a pleasure to shoot and very accurate with adjustable sights. Therefore, it makes an excellent range gun. Finally, in my opinion it's too large and heavy for concealed carry but would be great to keep by your bed or in the car with you. Some youtube videos mention feed problems and suggest you put 200 rounds through it to iron these out. Other people had zero feed problems. My experience was that it failed to feed the 2nd time I pulled the trigger. The round was stuck in the chamber with the bullet nose pointed towards the sky. I took it back to the house to investigate. I found that my initial cleaning was insufficient. The factory packs the pistol in a plastic envelope filled with a thick oil. I had field stripped it and wiped the surfaces of this oil, but I failed to dismantle the barrel and guide rod and clean the frame below them. I hosed down the parts with brake cleaner and re-lubed everything with a thin coat of CLP. I did the same for the magazines. By the way, Bud's sells magazines for it, and it only comes with one. I walked back to the range to test the weapon. It worked flawlessly. This is a great weapon backed by a great warranty. If it's not too big and /or heavy for you, you will really enjoy this beautiful pistol.
