Totally underwhelmed by this S&W AR-15. Stock is loose, trigger pull is long, heavy and drags. Lots of play between upper and lower receivers. Rear grip is a standard POS. Action feels like they didn't clean all the machining grit out of it. Looked up the model number and searched on S&Ws website. They said something to the effect of "discontinued and retailers set their own price". It is the single worst AR I have ever owned. I had an S&W Sport without the forward bolt assist and dust cover that was a better rifle.

Had issue with the finish on the rifle. Was very disappointed that S&W was unwilling to do anything. Rifle is still NIB, for sale.

Bought this back in Oct. 2008. I love it! Feels good, shoots straight, and is reliable - no malfunctions ever, and I've used all kinds of ammo. Really like the flip-up rear sight. A top quality AR.

i bought this gun from buds in 07'' and still my favorite gun.i have friends that tell me i should buy from local gun shop but with buds great price and service i can resist.i' ve bought many guns from buds and NEVER had any problems at all with anything (purchasing,shipping,billing).as long as you read the simple instructions in how to purchase. you cant go wrong.

Excellent price and quick delivery from Buds (as usual). The rifle is great quality. I actually sold my Bushmaster to buy this Smith and I like the Smith way better. Note the front sling mount is on the bottom and not the side of the sight as pictured. Also not that you get a PMAG instead of a standard steel mag. If you buy before 12/31/2009 you can send in a rebate to Smith for 5 free PMAGS (great deal).

Great gun,no problems at all, has worked well with three brands of ammo I have used. This is my first AR and I am very satisfied with this gun. Hats off to Smith and Wesson.

Purchased back on Oct 2008. I'm very impressed with the accuracy of this rifle. Right out of the box it shot so well that I wanted to see just how accurate it could be. So I put a 3x9 Nikon scope on and took it to the range. Off sandbags it shoots sub-MOA groups at 100 and 200yds. It eats up all factory ammo (at least PMC, WIN, Rem) as well as hand loads (mostly PMC and LC Brass). Designed for 62gn bullets, it does well at 100 yds with the 40gn Hornday V-MAX bullets, and with generic 55gn loads. Outstanding accuracy at 200 to 400 yds with Hornady BTHP 68gn and 75gn bullets. I have shot about 800 rounds and I'm looking forward to when the weather is warm enough to get back to the range. Service was great and shipping very prompt.

Awesome rifle. Got it for an excellent price and very impressed with S&Ws quality. Shoots extremely well and would definitely get another one!

Excellent firearm. Glad I bought the S/W instead of the more expensive Colts and Rock Rivers. Once I finally got ahold of Buds and placed my order it was shipped relatively quickly. Came with a hard case and one 30rd magazine. My only complaint is that Buds was difficult to do business with because they are closed on weekends and are very busy during the week. Got a busy signal numerous times and voicemail several other times.

Really nice gun. Smooth action and nicely manufactured. Shoots well. Rec placing a bushnell 1x32 red dot scope.
