Hands down, Bud’s is amazing with quick delivery. The rifle is everything I wanted and more. It shoots great out of the box and was virtually zeroed as well. The bag and red dot were great add-ons. I actually use the iron sights currently and I may move to a scope eventually, but the red dot has been used on another firearm. It only come with one magazine and it was scratched up which is disheartening, but the rifle was in perfect condition. The scratched up mag is the only reason for 4 stars. Now to be able to find mags at a decent price is the challenge.

This is an excellent weapon, top quality. However, the red dot optic that came pretty installed is not appropriate for this weapon. I had a problem getting a good view through the site, I have no idea where the first six shots went, they didn't hit paper at 25 yards. Finally got a decent view but with my cheek placed right on the cheek rest, and the top 2/3 of the butt plate above my shoulder. This created another problem, in the form of pressure pushing my hearing protection off ear, not completely, but enough.
I'm going to try it next time without the optic, and see how it goes.

With proven 1930‘s technology comprising of the bolt action and mechanics – along with upgrades of the of the well-known M14, the M1A CQB is the latest and most compact version of the M1A (2nd only to the Juggernaut Bullpup by half inch in length). This weapon is NOT primarily a close combat (rapid fire) weapon. Instead, the M1A CQB is predominantly a MEDIUM range, power-shot rifle with limited close and long range capabilities. The power shot of this rifle almost sends a shockwave of force with each pull of the trigger. Uniquely loud, it is impossible to fire the weapon in-doors or in confined quarters without potential for hearing damage. Slow reload time also impacts fighting capability with limited 20 rd magazines (the 50 round drum available for purchase is too cumbersome for an already-heavy battle rifle). Some velocity is sacrificed for more maneuverability with the short-barreled battle rifle. With the red-dot sight, you lose long range potential – however, aiming is more suitable for medium and some close combat scenarios. Biggest limitation: no folding stock for transportation (backpacking) and storage purposes. Archangel could and should have developed the folding mechanism on the left side of the rifle (opposite of the op rod). Most appealing attribute: the intimidation factor. The M1A CQB looks, feels and sounds like a truly fearsome battle rifle – unique the typical weapons like ARs and AKs. One shot, one kill – no screams of pain and suffering. In addition, M1A CQB has the ability for AR-like customization: the stock is adjustable with a pistol grip, picatinny rail attachments, and built in holes for QD sling attachments. Although the rifle is extremely tight in first disassembly for cleaning/lubricating/greasing – I bonded with my rifle by feeling the same parts and mechanisms that operated in various wars throughout history (and there are even M14 variants still in operation today!). Overall, I am very pleased with this battle rifle. It will serve as a family heirloom for worst and best scenarios: apocalyptic situations (total breakdown in civilization) and family bonding activities (gatherings at the gun range and boar hunting).

This is a true piece of work right here, new to the gun world and this being my second rifle I’m beyond excited to take this to the range. When I first got it delivered to my FFL I was skeptical the pawn shop would maybe try to steal the red dot sight or maybe the bag they send it in opened the red dot box and sure enough it was missing. But to my surprise the red dot was already pre mounted on the rifle ! So other than the micro heart stop this is agood high quality rifle. The bag that it was shipped in isn’t to bad I’ve seen people complain about it but I think it’s great light weight has a nice padding on the inside and some good straps to keep it nice and secure. The only problem I have with it is the 10 round mag I’m not sure if it’s me or the gun but it seems like the 10 rn mag is too short for me to feed it in properly but practice makes perfect. The red dot sight is great and even better when I can switch it out for my everyday carry and put it back on my rifle anytime. This is a solid 10/10 gun and comes with a lot of very detailed information about the gun and its history.
