This was a beretta made one. So cool to own one.

I love this little carbine. It's as short as an ak and its lighter. Also on par with most modern bolt guns and miles ahead of my mosin and cheaper today.
it holds 6 rounds, although ammo for it is always expensive and hard to find, it is worth it to shoot a peice of world war history. It doesnt come with the clips it needs but they are cheap. So unless you want it a single shot get a couple of those.
If you want a real cool collector's peice or wll hanger this is also the gun for you. Highly recommend for hunters, shooters, surplus and arms collectors, history bluffs, war bluffs, and really anybody into guns.
5 stars would give it 6 if I could

The rifle I recieved is 1930 model made at Terni arsenal. The rifle looks pretty good with a good stock and decent
blueing. The bore looks rough with some rifling present. The reciever and stock have matching numbers and there is cartouche on the stock reads FAT 1947 inside an oval. There is repair at the bottom of the butt stock. It has sling swivels front and rear underneath and a side sling swivel up front and its missing the rear sling bar and no cleaning rod. I am mostly pleased with the condition just wish the bore looked better but overall I'm satisfied. Buds was great the rifle was delivered to my ffl in 3 days.

Rifle was as described. Very happy with entire purchase experience. Shipping and order processing was great. FFL commented that Bud's is great to deal with.

The carcano 91 ts was in all around good condition, and would buy an other.

This is a decent Milsurp, received in fair/good condition, a bit of rust here and there, nothing being a deal breaker. I followed the Anvil/Mark Novak advice and did the conservation, everything back to blue as it should be and fully functional.

I was really impressed with my purchase, I would say my rifle was in very good condition. It had 75-80% of its original finish. The bore looked like new with great rifling. One minor crack in the front handguard. If you look around you can find ammo. I can't wait to shoot. I would by again.

First, I always give myself very low expectations when ordering anything but new stuff. So when I received this carbine I was happy with it immediately because the steel was in good shape, not pitted and the bolt and trigger worked well. It was missing the front dovetail sight and , of course, the cleaning rod. It was very dirt and full of cosmoline and was somewhat greasy. I cleaned it up with mineral spirits which was relatively easy and put it all back together. The only BAD thing is that none of the serial numbers match. The wood is nicked up, but is very cool the way it is. Mine is a 1917 M91 TS. Once I got the grease off of the stock it is actually very beautiful. The mineral spirits did not take any finish off of the gun, just dirt. The bore was filthy but is not very clean and the rifling looks good. Now I just need some ammo. I love this rifle.

Love it! Great purchase -- I have-not fired it and am still awaiting the blank cartridges, but even if not a great shooter I love adding the gun to my collection in the condition it arrived. Did not need a lot of cleaning andI still am looking for a cleaning rod, but very satisfied with the purchase for the cost. Thank you Buds for offering military surplus!

Was more than pleased with the example I recieved. I recieved a 1917 dated Brescia made carbine. It had the 1928 updated nosecap. Out of the four Carcanos I bought this year from different vendors the two from buds were by far the nicest by leaps and bounds. The wood was beautiful and the metal was rust and pitting free and only took a quick wipe down to clean up. The bore was like new. Id recommend buying one from Buds before any of the competitors. My only complaint is that I didn't order a few more.

Rifle was as described shipping was great as usual. Had great rifling. What I like about Buds as opposed to the other on line companies is they keep you informed about your order. And send notices when they ship. Anyway nice rifle cant go wrong with Buds.

Stock is beat to hell, missing the spring on bottom to push round to chamber

It is what it is. The bore is very good, the bolt and extractor is very good, and the bluing is good. With that said the stock is pretty dinged up with the butt being so beavered up that the butt plate hangs off about a quarter inch. I’m super happy with this rifle!!!

I bought two, hoping to get a nice pair. I selected the serial numbers, choosing two consecutive. Unfortunately, one was a basket case, with missing sling swivels, most of the rear sight missing and an incredibly pitted barrel under the handguard. DEEP pitting. I returned that one. Also, the "serial number" was a number added by the importer, and NOT the rifle's actual serial number, so they weren't consecutive actually. I am no stranger to surplus arms, so expected some clean up and work, but the one I sent back would barely qualify as "fair". The other one was indeed "fair", and complete, so I kept it.

OK... while I'm happy with my purchase, there's some things I need to mention and they're not positive. The rifle I got was really nowhere near the condition of the rifle in the picture. The stock (while it had no major cracks) was quite dark, dinged, chafed and scuffed. The barrel had heavy scuffs from possibly stacking them against a metal rack, or in the old style of "teepee" stacking rifles as they did in civil war. But the scuffs looked more recent.
The finish or bluing or what have you, is essentially gone from the receiver. It's kind of a patina of ancient surface corrosion and I don't know what else.
The bore, while it had visible rifling, was very dark. I haven't run a brush or patch through it yet, but I suspect that's more than just dirt in the bore.
The gun was completely devoid of lube. The action was dry as a bone. I've bought quite a few surplus rifles, and to be honest, this one is the roughest one I've ever got. But the reason I'm happy with it is I bought it pretty much as a wall hanger. The only other thing I would say is this really should be about a $150-$175 rifle.
But I'm very happy with the service from Bud's with this rifle, they have an efficient system and the emails are quick and informative.

I’ve gotten several of the current batch of Carcanos available from the various online sellers that use them and this is easily the roughest I’ve gotten. The transaction was smooth enough and shipping was good but this is one rough rifle. I collect milsurp and this is probably my ugliest looking rifle. It was a good price but if I knew ahead of time that I would get this rifle I probably wouldn’t have ordered. I know buying milsurp sight unseen is a gamble so it is what it is. Hopefully you’ll get a nice one.
