Pros: Comfortable to shoot. Love the aggressive grip texture, maybe a little too aggressive for some. Very reliable and accurate. Fit and finish is very good. Perfect size for a general purpose handgun. Cons: The trigger is an improvement over the first generation M&P, but the hinged trigger design still sucks. Decent break, but still a little gritty and not very comfortable at the end a range session.

My favorite individual weapon to date. I installed a Crimson Trace on it, it cycles like butter and it has what a Glock doesn't, A traditional safety. I do not carry everywhere I go but when I feel the need to this is what comes along.

I love this pistol. It's easily concealed on a normal-sized person's frame, and is light enough that, with a good holster, you forget you're wearing it. Shoots very accurately, and keyhole follow-up shots are achievable with good fundamentals. The trigger is light years ahead of the piece of crap they put in the 1st-gen, and I honestly may not even bother to put in a custom one. The upgraded sights are superb, and include a nice little shelf for single-hand belt/pocket/boot racks. My only gripe is with the grip texture. While It's much better than what you found on the 1st-gen pistols, it might actually be TOO good. It's very aggressive, and absolutely requires the use of an undershirt for IWB. It can also chew up clothing, depending on the material. I ended up putting trainers tape on the upper portion of the backstrap during my qualification day. I am planning to either find a sleeve to go over the grip, or else hit it with some fine-grit sandpaper to knock it down a bit. Aside from the grip, the gun is nearly perfect. Points naturally, handles easily with very little muzzle flip, and eats anything you run through her through anything. I have approximately 3000rds through her thus far, and have not seen a single stoppage. I even ran her without cleaning for about 1500rds in 4 days and she ran just as hard on the last day, as she did on the first. All in all, I couldn't be more pleased with the pistol.

Completed first range session of about 300 rounds with no malfunctions the day I received the pistol. I attended a Defensive Pistol course one week after the pistol arrived. 600 + additional rounds with no malfunctions. The pistol proved itself to be more reliable and accurate than its direct competition. Out of about 30 experienced shooters Police/Mil ect. 4 have already switched to the M&P 2.0. This is now my primary carry I have 100% confidence in the pistol.

The Smith and Wesson 2.0 is awsome. Buds is great to deal with. I already have another weapon in lay a way. I do not like the long period between payment and shipment though.

Really like this pistol. The trigger is great and it's sized well for carry. Ran 100 rnds of various types of ammo with no problems whatsoever. Still getting used to it, but think I like it.

Wow! What a shooter! I bought the full size several months ago and love it too. I am so glad I decided on the compact as well. I love it!

Great price, really nice handgun. The mod 2 compact is a G19 sized 9 mm with a really nice trigger. It runs flawlessly, as you would expect. It is a good shooter at the range and has digested about 250 rounds of mixed ammo without any issues.

Received my M&P 2.0 9 in 3 days. As always Bud’s was excellent with the lay-a-way plan. And I took it out yesterday and it shoot great right out of the box. I did order one with the safety and only time will tell if that was a mistake or not. Cause the safety is rather large compared to my ported 9 Shirld. Grips are great. Sights great, excellent gun.

Smith and Wesson did a great job with this gun. I have small hands and the options to change grips made a big difference. I purchased the gun as a duty weapon. This edition has night sights and since it was an LE edition it came with a hard plastic case, a gun lock and three 15 round mags and two extensions for the 17 round magazine option. Overall I really like the gun, the only thing I will be modifying will be the safety, taking a closer look I really don't need a safety level and at this point only a few manufacturers of holsters offer a Holster for this weapon, I called S&W and Safariland and they are in the works. So far is a great purchase and hopefully I get to enjoy my range time.
