This is an excellent rifle. Action is smooth, being a 6.5C there is no recoil to speak of. I got this for 1000M precision shooting and added a Burris Eliminator II. I haven't gotten it out to 1000 yet but at 300 it's sub moa, so I have no doubt when I get to the 1000M range it will do just what I want it to. Quality product which you expect from Savage. I wish it would have come with more than 1 mag since it's proprietary and won't take a PMAG.

Fantastic rifle! All the YouTube videos that praised this rifle were spot on. It is the most accurate rifle I own and is well worth the price. In fact, it’s a steal considering the quality and accuracy it offers. I am very new to shooting but I was still able to consistently hit a 8” steel plate at 400 yards with a $200 Athlon scope attached and it was almost too easy. This one is a keeper for sure. If you buy this one, you won’t be disappointed.

I can't say enough about this rifle! it is incredible!
pull it our of the box and throw some decent glass on it, buy a few boxes of 140 grain ELD match and you are ready to start shooting PRS.
Save the money for more expensive rifles, use it to buy more ammo, this rifle with a little shooter development is as good as it gets in the factory class!
just like any rifle that you want to shoot at long distances remove, loc-tite and torque all hardware.
I have repeatedly hit a stick as thick as my wrist at 1108 yards in varying wind. with factory ammo.

Bought this Savage Stealth Evolution in 6.5 Creedmoor and love it! Running a Vortex Viper PST 5-25x25 FFP in Seekins Precision rings and a Harris Bipod. Tried three different boxes of ammo in it at 100 yards so far. First group was a hair over 1/4 of an inch! The two boxes it liked it stayed under 1” with most groups closer to 1/2”(federal premium 140gr, and Hornady 143gr) The box it didn’t like only got one group under and inch (Hornady 147gr match) but I was getting cold and starting to shiver. Overall with more shooting and getting used to it I’m sure I can pull it in well under 1/2 moa to 1/4 moa steadily! Super nice fit and finish. Trigger is great and the Magpul stock is awesome!
I did pull the top rail off the receiver and applied blue lock tight to the screws cause I have heard the will come loose otherwise.
Overall I am really happy with it!

I took the Savage Evolution to the range today, the rifle shoots phenomenally well! The trigger is the best you will find on any long gun, yes I realize there are several on the market equally good but this is my third precision rifle from Savage and you cannot beat the Accutrigger! Cosmetically the Evolution is a very appealing rifle and people take notice when they see, I want my firearms tac driving steel at a 1000 yards but I also want them looking bad-ass too! I zeroed at 100 yards and my shot group was literally 3 rounds on top of each other after the initial zeroing was accomplished, I pushed it out to 600 yards and I'm definitely excited to get it out to a 1000 yards within the next day or so, the barrel is extremely accurate and I didn't use match grade ammunition, Sellior & Bellot FMJ BT 140 grain performs just as well. The bolt action is smooth but not like your more expensive rifles are, the more you shoot the rifle the action gets better as you go, not an issue unless you are a particular person. Overall I'm pleased with the Evolution and its performance, after 30 rounds I did notice the Vortex Viper PST moving side to side and slightly loose, I discovered that the Picatinny rail came lose where the screws backed out.

After buying the Mod 10 Stealth Evolution, arrived in 5 days. Rifle looks great. Finish is superb with no chips, marks of any kind.
However, I had a problem right off with cartridges not wanting to feed. I worked with it for a week trying to brake in the magazine etc. It was hanging on something at least 3 out of 6 times that I worked the bolt.
First let me say. No reflection on Buds. They handled the sale fine and I would buy from them again, its just I now have to handle problem with Savage warranties. I called and first they sent me another mag at no cost but did not help so I sent rifle in and they said usually around 3 wks turnaround not counting shipping. It took exactly 3 wks plus shipping to get it back. Had to ream chamber (was too tight) and polish and installed small parts. I know ejector was changed. But can not tell if extractor was, looks same as old one. Said they checked headspace and overall bolt/action assembly. They sent me 2 new mags different brands and now rifle feeds perfect. I can't say enough for their customer service. Very pleased.
I only wish QC had caught the problems before rifle got out. They also polished feed ramp. Pleased with their work and would buy from again.I just hope they improve on yr their QC Dept. I am only going to rate Savage with a 3 Star, but Buds with a 5 Star.

Buds prices and service are the best. Fast shipping! The Savage 10 Stealth Evolution 6.5 creedmoor, is by far ONE of the best rifles I now own. The rifle out of the box is sub moa accurate. Trigger pull measured 2lbs 13ozs. Just right for my preference. Added an oversized tactical bolt knob and a little slick-50 lube and the action is very smooth after a box of rounds. Recoil is not noticeable with the weight and muzzle break. Easy to sight your own impacts. I am still a Remington 700 and a Ruger Fan and own them in other calibers. I chose the Savage Stealth Evolution over the Remington PCR and the Ruger Precision Rifle and I am 100% glad that I did. I will be getting another Savage Stealth Evolution in .338 Lapua from Buds!!

Bud's prices were the lowest I could find when shopping for the Savage Stealth Evolution.

Once again Bud's did a great job. Great price and shipped out the same day.
Rifle seems to be a winner. I shot 3 5-shot groups with the last 15 break-in rounds. Two groups were .54" and the other was just under .8", 100 yards with 140 gn BTHP Hornady Black, 6.5 mm Creedmoor. Can't wait to see what it will do with some handloads.
As stated in another review, the scope rail came lose sometime in the 15 rounds that followed the15 mentioned above. Also, as stated, removing the rail revealed a "20 MOA" stamp on the bottom.
I am very pleased with the rifle thus far.

I have owned several Savage rifles in the past and all have been very accurate, except this one. I was getting 2.5 to 3-inch groups at 100 yards and scratching my head as to why this was happening based on the other glowing reviews regarding accuracy. When I got home, I noticed that the picatinny rail was loose (not typical for Savage), so I tightened it and the groups are wonderful now. My suggestion to anyone who purchases this firearm it to check the rail before installing a scope.

This was my first experience with Buds . I chose them largely because they had the best price . I was simply delighted when my rifle arrived at my FFL in under a week . Outstanding !

I purchased the Savage 10 Stealth Evolution Bolt 6.5 Creedmoor 24 10+1 Magpul PRS from Buds, and as my experience has shown, Bud's provided straight-talking, no-nonsense, quality service. The rifle was delivered on-time with no hidden charges. The 10 Stealth Evolution is an incredible shooting rifle but there are some issues a buyer should be prepared for that are nowhere in the documentation; 1) I presume the rifle is sight-tested at the factory. It came filthy and needed to be cleaned - no big deal. 2) While sighting in at the range, one of the shooters told me that on a new Savage with the accu-trigger I would need to adjust it because it is shipped with such a light pull it malfunctions and sometimes won't shoot. He was absolutely correct, which meant removing the side rails, front skeleton frame and then the barrel. It wasn't hard to do but it takes a few minutes and I'd recommend some quality T-Handle hex wrenches to avoid stripping the small screws. The trigger adjusts easily with the mini tool provided with the rifle. 3) I installed a Vortex Viper PST 5-25 x 50, 30mm- 1st focal plane scope and purchased a Vortex extended CM-530-20MOA mount, believing a 20MOA mount may be necessary to sight out to the 1000 Yd range with the scope I purchased. A BIG ISSUE #1 here is that the arrow on the bottom of the CM-530-20MOA mount must point forward, towards the muzzle to achieve the correct angle. I could not find this information in any forums or from Vortex publications. I ended up calling Vortex and they opened a box to see the arrow and then answered the question. Unfortunately, after mounting everything, the scope would not move backward far enough to provide a correct eye-relief distance, plus it was too high off the rifle to allow for a good cheek weld, even after the Magpul stock was spun up all the way (perhaps my head is just too small). I ended up pulling it off (the scope base, not my head) and installing a Vortex PMR-30-145 1.45" set of rings, which now allows the scope to be moved far enough back for the needed eye-relief. 4) A BIG ISSUE #2 was discovered while removing the barrel. The picatinny rail runs the length of the frame but is in two pieces. The rear rail where the scope mounts is already a 20MOA rail and this isn't stated anywhere! You can see it if you pull the rail off the barrel and read the fine print on the bottom, or try to peak under the rail with a magnifying glass (which is what I did). Thus if you're after a 20MOA scope ramp, it's already there, you need only purchase standard rings. 5) The 5th issue, although not big, is that the polymer magazine is not the best quality. It works OK if you only put in 9 cartridges but the tenth bulges out the side too much and you'll need to take it out for the mag to insert easily. It is a regular 308 magazine so I'd recommend spending the bucks for a couple of quality steel mags. Hope this is helpful for someone. It would have save me a couple hundred bucks if I could have found the information somewhere. Respectfully, Sleeves from Virginia

Great gun shoot 1/4 moa 100 yards out of box. Took long than I thought it would. Access to my checking account gave the wife some concern. I'd buy here again.

I own several Savage rifles. This particular rifle is awesome. Out of the box scary accurate. After some breaking in, hand loads mostly, I shot a 3 shot group at 200 yards. Two in the same hole and the other touching. Did I say AWESOME. Great gun at a reasonable price for what you get. I`m looking at another caliber but can`t decide. Look no further. This gun is wicked accurate.

First off, the fit and finish of the rifle are top notch. Typical Savage action, it is a Model 10, good quality for the cost. The chassis is very cool, it is cerakoted in a bronze metallic color. Great take off of ugly FDE. It gives the rifle a very tactical expensive look. Enough of descriptions you can read on Buds site or Savage for that matter. We buy a rifle for performance. You can spend a lot of dollars for a custom precision rifle. Quite frankly this rifle will outshoot the majority of our skills. Unless you are world class, this rifle will perform better than your skill level. I've only gotten about 80 rounds through the rifle, but it is a shooter. I shot about 40 rounds using a modified break in procedure. I then shot 5 shot group at 100yds. Not one shot left the 1 inch diamond on the target. I went out to 200 and still held a spread of .625 of an inch. at 300 the DOPE calcs were spot on. I took 5 at 8 in plate at 400 and rang the plate with all. I came back in to 100 and had a pretty good group of three. Now for the bad. somewhere between 70 and 80 the group started to open up. Since I was out of ammo I decided to see if there was any physical issue. I had read quite a few reviews of the rifle prior to purchase and one guy/gal mentioned the rail became loose. Sure enough the rail had some wiggle. when I got home I checked the screws.......loose. Rookie mistake, I torqued all of the mounts and ring screws but I didn't check the rail which came installed from factory. I took the rail off cleaned and put loctite on the screws, torqued them down, I suspect it will be good to go when I take back to range to rezero. I give the rifle a thumbs up, buy one if you are in the market for a reasonable priced rifle. You can spend 5000 on a custom or I have a little less than 2000 in the full rig and couldn't shoot better. Just a word of experience if you buy check the torque on the rail before you proceed to mount the scope.

Mounted a scope, loaded a few rounds, and did some shooting. Out of the box I'm getting .6" five shot groups. Had the gun sent to one of their prefered FFL dealers and it arrived in about 3 days. Couldn't ask for more.

I got interested in purchasing a long range precision rifle and narrowed it down to the Savage Stealth which led me to the Evolution. I don't know when I've been more excited to receive a gun and finding it on Bud's was a plus. This gun is a Beast! Even the FFL dealer was impressed when he saw the gun. I've had it to the range once so far to sight it in but it is pure joy to shoot and I can't wait to develop some loads and see if this old guy can keep up with it. It is a beauty and draws attention just because of that. I bought the 6.5 Creedmoor and I'm loving that caliber more and more all the time. Only thing, now I'm looking at suppressors. it seems like this gun is just the right place to start something new. If you are thinking about purchasing this gun I would highly recommend it. The action is smooth and slick, the trigger is amazing, the stock works like magic, blueprinted action, 5R button rifling and it looks amazing.

Took me a long time to get it together as I was waiting for a scope put a Vortex HD Razor 5x20x50mm 35mm tube. It was worth the wait this rifle shoots, it was under .40 moa with a load right out of Sierra book. ACTION is very good and smooth and getting smoother, extracts very good, magazine loads easy and feeds well. Very NICE trigger brakes a about 1.5 lbs. out of the box. Had it over in Eastern Montana Prairie Dog hunting the 6.5 Creedmore really showed it worth over my 22-250 Rem. and .223 Rem. with the heavier bullets in the wind and the 6.5 has a low recoil so you can kind of say on target. The Drake Chassis is very nice with all the adjustments build-in to it, I have NO bad things to say about this rifle only good : 5 STARS

Arrived on time and in pristine condition. Cleaned up beautifully. Bolt is smooth great fit without slop and tight lock up. The chamber is tight and the throat looks well finished and patches didn't drag there or anywhere. The bore is unmarred, no tool 'chop' marks with perfect as far as can told without a bore scope. Still haven't shot it yet. Work, chores and weather keep stopping range day... really want to get a new scope installed first anyways. That is still a week or two out.

I ordered my Savage Evolution 6.5 Creedmoor from Buds and was very happy with their service. Not only did they offer the gun at a lower price than others, the gun arrived sooner than was s he duped in mint condition. I will look to Buds Gunshop for my future firearm purchases.

Firearm is gorgeous and shoots like a dream. After dialing in scope with bore sighter and 10-12 rounds of range time at 200 yrds. Took a 20 min break to let the barrel cool down and grouped 3 shots within .56" at 200 yrds yrd with 140 gr ELD-M factory ammo. Very impressive accuracy out of the box. I see no reason why this gun can not be a potential candidate being the go-to-gun with matches engaging multiple targets ranging 300 - 1,200 yrds. Processing/shipping took some time, ordered 12/02 received product 12/15 but when nobody else has this gun and caliber in stock... well you typically just roll with it. Buds is a great company!
