What sweet little single stack pistol! So far I've fed over 200 rounds through it without one malfunction. Shipping seemed a little slow on this order compared to my other twelve or thirteen ones. Anyhow, I loved this Shield so much that I ordered the Plus with the thirteen and ten round magazine, which by the way, this new order is back to the usual great Bud's service and running on time. Highly recommend this gun and of course Bud's.

Great pistol. 500 rounds down range without any problems.

I am very happy with the m&p 9mm, it handles very well, shoots very well and feels comfortable to conceal carry. I am also very happy with buds, the delivery was quick, I did call their customer service once and my question was answered completely. I will definitely use them again.

best EDC for daily carry, imo. shoots lights out for a tiny pistol, and fits my large hands well. add some rubber talon grips, and can't leave home without it.

Gun shoots very well and easy to clean. Very good size for conceal carry. Only down side, it's very hard to engage the slide lock.

Great service from Buds as always. Unfortunately the S&W Shield I purchased had problems. Upon inspection at the transfer location all seemed to be satisfactory. I was unable to reliably check the night sights in the daylight. I went outside that evening to see how well the night sights performed. Rear was fine but no green dot from the front right. Great! Going to have to send it back right away the get this taken care of. After a good cleaning I decided to fire the Shield the next day to make sure everything was functioning properly before contacting S&W about the front sight. Upon firing, I immediately discovered that the POI was left of center with 4 different types of factory and 1 handload type of ammunition. A set of calipers confirmed that the front sight was not properly centered and its position was the cause of this left of center POI. To top it off, at about round 165 of mixed ammunition I was firing the slide began refusing to lock back after the last round. This was occurring with all three magazines that were included and all types of ammunition I was firing. The pistol had functioned fine prior to that. OK, this may have been some sort of break-in issue and the pistol was certainly becoming fouled internally due to firing it. S&W was, of course, great about sending me a shipping label so I could return the pistol for repair. Just wish I hadn't needed to do that with a brand new gun. That's where it is now...3-5 weeks is the estimate for repair. Wondering now about S&W QC. Problems aside I really liked the Shield. This one shot rather tight groups for its barrel length and had a darn good trigger.

Excellent weapon for EDC, smooth take up and crisp trigger. Shoots to point of aim, and very accurate at 10 yards, it will do what it is purposed for! As usual, Bud’s did a great job on shipping the weapon out, and it arrived in perfect new condition as it should. The only negative is the 2.0 Shield stippling is very aggressive and will pull at your clothing. As it has such a slim grip, will probably get the Talon grips that are less aggressive and put them on. Excellent job again Bud’s! Thank You!

I bought this lil shooter to compliment my 2.0 full size. Its light, highly concealable, and comfortable to carry all day. As for its performance, I was drawing from concealment and double tapping my steel IPSC target from 5-15 yards. No failures to fire (375 rounds fired) , with reloaded target ammo and duty ammo. Smith and Wesson really hit a homerun in listening to the customer base and revamping the M&P line. The Grip texture, trigger, and slide changes really put this pistol up against any Glock, Sig or H&K.

Great little shooter... Very well made, lite, consistent, accurate, and no feed or misfire problems at the range. The only reason I have knocked a star off is my hands are a little to big for the grip, and I have to really make a conscious effort on my hand and finger placement. Also, this model I has no safety, which also concerns me when carried chambered. I really liked the thought of speed if needed and decided to buy it. However, I'm clumsy and bang around allot when walking, which I wasn't really aware of till I started to carry a chambered pistol with no safety. If you have small or medium sized hands this is a great concealed carry weapon.

I count on product reviews before purchasing as I did with the firearm. However this review of this firearm is my experience only, hence the 2 star review. This is my first purchase through Buds and I have to say it was a very smooth transaction. I purchased this firearm with the 90 day layaway and Buds emailed me when they received the check, when the gun was sent for shipping, when it was shipped and when it arrived at the local FFL. Thanks Buds. Now the Shield's fit and finish are very good quality and the gun fit well in my hand. However, when I started shooting it, the gun did not shoot point of aim. Expecting to see a ragged hole at the 7 yard line, I found the round to hit 3 inches low and to the left on a 6 0'clock hold and were scattered. I shot this supported and unsupported with 3 different 9mm 115 grain ammo - Remington UMC, Speer Gold Dot and Federal HydraShok. None was better. Same situation on the 10 yard and 15 yard lines. I shoot these yards with a Glock 27 and get very good accurate shots. After calling S&W, they sent me a shipping label and had it returned to them. Very good customer service with S&W. Hopefully, they can fix it for accuracy. So we'll see. So 2 stars for the Shield and 5 stars for Buds.
