I like everything about the rifle except for the roughness of the bolt. Even after cycling 300 times, cleaning and lubing it’s still rather rough for an 800 dollar rifle. Also Savage does not provide a schematic or instructions for taking the bolt apart, and as of yet I can’t find any online anywhere for this particular style bolt. Apparently savage has changed designs several times. Not having a detailed breakdown of your weapons parts in the owners manual is a huge flaw. From what I’m reading savage won’t sell replacement parts to anyone other than a licensed gunsmith. I’ve contacted savage customer service for a schematic of the bolt but have yet to hear back.

I purchased the gun in November and took the gun to the range on 11/29/22. The gun would not fire. I made a video of the issue and sent to Savage. They recommended I return the gun to their warranty department for inspection and repair (shipping at my expense). I had to take to my FFL and have them ship for me as the local shippers (UPS, FedEx, etc) refused to send a gun directly from me (without a shipping label from Savage). It’s now 1/25/23 and I have no gun, nor a response to my emails. When I call, they do not want to discuss with me as I did not send them the gun. Again, this is a brand new gun that I’ve never fired. Its inspection and repair should be a priority and the shipping should have been at their expense. What kind of half ass operation is Savage running??? They have had the gun much longer than I have. I bought my first Savage (110 Hunter) 2-3 months before this gun from a local retailer. No problems so I bought this gun from Buds. Buds was great. Savage is a fail! This will be my last Savage. I will continue business with Bud’s.

Spot on accurate. Tack driver. Paired with a vortex 5-25x56 and its unstoppable. The adjustable combs and cheek risers make it truly customizable. The bolt was a little stiff to work at 1st, but after 100 rounds is breaking in nicely.

I bought this to replace an old pre Accu Trigger Savage model 10, bought in the mid 1994/5, I just wore the thing out, accuracy was dropping way off. decide on new rifle instead of getting old rifle re-barreled.
I'm still in the break in stage, but it is drilling one nice little hole in the paper. Excellent Savage quality firearm, the old one could out shoot much more expensive rifles and this one appears to be doing the same, I recommend this rifle.

Positives: Very accurate rifle. Shoots lights out. Easily 1/2 MOA at 100 yards. Biggest negative is the stock. It leaves a lot to be desired as you have to select from 4 length of pull and comb spacers, no Picatinny for bi-pod mount.

Not a bad rifle for the price. Bolt is a bit sticky and sloppy at the same time but it settles in after awhile using a very light coat of motor honey. Nice trigger and accufit stock and bedding block. I was disappointed about the accuracy for the first hundred rounds but after various hand loads accuracy was achieved when the barrel finally broke in. I found the 168gr Sierra Matchking over a load of Varget got sub 3/4" MOA out to 300 yds. I would recommend it to a friend. I have purchased a truck load of merchandise from BUD's and their service has always been the best with quick delivery.

I can’t say enough good things about this rifle. It’s my favorite. Great smooth shooter. Very accurate. Using the supplied Accustock parts, It’s nice having the ability to fit the rifle to you and not the other way around. Smooth bolt and great overall fit and finish. It’s heavyweight and that helps out with the recoil. It’s a great one. You won’t regret it. Buds service was great as usual.

Best bang for your dollar. Pun intended. Have had this rifle for a year and right outta the box it was shooting under an inch group with Zqi M80 NATO spec ball ammo. After 100 ends group got even tighter. Only flaw is the magazine. 10th rnd will not feed due to inadequate spring pressure. Overall tho great rifle

This rifle is awesome! Shoots super accurate. Had my grouping at right around 1.5” at 200 yards sporting a vortex crossfire 4-16. Trigger is excellent. Couldn’t be happier.

Bought this rifle for long range steel plate banging. It's still a long way until Spring so, I'm just getting it set up for now. Love the feel of it and I've reset the trigger to light and it's crisp and clean. I've never owned a Savage that wouldn't shoot better than I can, I have no doubt that this one will keep that tradition alive.

Great rifle mounted a Vortex 4 X 24 scope broke in the barrel and put 10 shots in 1 MOA at 100 yds. I am sure that will tighten when I find what bullet and load it likes.

Great gun. Sharp shooter. Everything needed was in the box. Comes with 10 round magpul mag. Thread protector has a ding in it but doesn't compromise anything. The cheek well risers keep you from being able to use a bore guide. Love the aluminum bedding in the stock and the free floating barrel. All in all, I love it. Will definitely be buying more on this site.

I bought this rifle to compete NRA competition. I sighted it in and took a 10 shot string at 100 yards using factory ammo. Group was 3/4 inch. Absolutely accurate rifle. Bud guns is my place to buy!
