Quick and easy purchase online through Budsgunshop.com, shipped to my local ffl fast. The pistol itself is great, going on 2 years now and not a single problem. Seems to shoot just about any ammo I run through it. Easy to take apart and clean, so easy in fact that I bought an adjustable trigger and installed myself. Then I added a compensator and it makes a world of difference when teaching new shooters or just fine tuning your own grouping. I might be biased but the pistol is metal and has a little weight which I find helps when youth are trying to shoot plates. Other pistols made of lightweight materials tend to allow for more shooter errors. The youth on my team prefer to use this to all the other name brand 22s. The weight and the sights on this pistol work extremely well together allowing for quick acquisition and then shifting to the next target. If you are looking for a quality pistol that runs, this is the one for you.

Pros: it is accurate, the fiber-optic sights are clear and bright, it cycles well with cheap ammo (I only had 1 failure-to-load, and 1 failure-to-eject out, both from Federal AutoMatch 40grain), and is really nice to look at! Cons: it weighs a lot, but that's because it is an entry-level match pistol, and the weight is where it derives a lot of its accuracy. It also occasionally fails to keep the slide open after the last round is fired, regardless of ammo. The first day I took it to the range, I tried 7 different types of inexpensive 1200 fps ammo, and it cycled well on all of them except Federal AutoMatch 40grain (out of 40 rounds, I had 1 failure-to-load, and 1 failure-to-eject). None of the other 6 types had any cycling issues whatsoever. Out of the 7 varieties I put through it, I found I get slightly tighter groups with Remington Golden Bullet. The 2 CCI Mini Mags tied for 2nd place (36 grain hollow point and 40 grain cooper plated). Then came this "40 year old Federal Hi-Power" stuff I inherited, then Remington 22 Thunderbolt, Federal Automatch 40grain, and finally in last place, Winchester SuperX 40 grain. None of them gave me terrible groupings, but the Golden Bullets gave me the tightest groupings. I recommend this pistol.

Great experience purchasing through Buds, simple, no hassle and shipping was very fast, receiving in only a few days. Best online experience I’ve had. The gun is beautiful, securely packed and just as described. Shoots great, love the sights just as it comes. Comes with 2 mag’s and additional magazines are plentiful online. You won’t be disappointed, buy with confidence.

Amazing gun, very precise and solid. So far I have not had any discrepancies with this S&W. Got about 1000 rounds of rim from different manufacturers and it performed great.
Great experience with Buds and the order process.

I absolutely love this pistol. Very accurate and with bull barrel it’s not going to overheat.
If you use Amsco 36 grain hollow point ammo it will probably jam on the ramp on first shot. After that works fine. Problem is they use a litt too much wax so it tends to stick in the clip. I tried three other well known brands without a problem. Sense I have quit a bit of Amsco, I bought some after market springs, problem solved.

It’s a Smith and Wesson target pistol. They simply don’t make junk and this is no exception. Fit and finish are exceptional, reliability has been perfect over hundreds of rounds and the sheer size of the aftermarket for this pistol platform will keep you customizing for ages (not that it needs anything if you don’t compete). It’s good enough out of the box that I would buy another one of these before I’d buy a similar pistol from another manufacturer.

Reviews are, of course, opinions and we all have them. This Smith & Wesson Victory is an outstanding 22 cal pistol. Everything about it is my idea of a great shoot it everyday type of weapon. It feels great in my hand with a "semi-hefty" weight, a very comfortable grip, and great balance. The slide action is smooth and responsive. I absolutely love the sights. The rear and front neon green dots make for a quick and easy sight picture. I'm older and wear bifocals and found acquiring the sights coming up to aim was a sinch. Very easy weapon to love. I choose the threaded barrel model so that I could add a compensator. It's definitely not needed on a 22 LR but it sure looks neat. Overall the Victory meets or exceeds all my ideas of a great everyday pistol.

Love this handgun. Fits well in my hand. Well balanced. I was more accurate with this firearm than I am with my 38 that is my everyday carry weapon. May not have the punch of a larger caliber gun but my thought is that if I can put a bullet exactly where I aim, then a smaller hole is just fine. It's still a direct hit. Am I right?

The S&M Victory is one of the current bargains in the pistol world. You will know when you wrap your hand around it. I put a scope on mine and shoot the whiskers off striped gophers. Longest shot off bags was at 73 yards. Dead gopher.

I am very happy with Buds Layaway program. I was able to purchase a S&W Victory handgun and it's great to shoot. I received the gun from my local FFL and it was brand new just like Buds advertised on their website. Great place to do business with and I going to enjoy shooting my first handgun. Buds also has the best customer service on the phone or on the computer. The employees or volunteers are a great help when I have questions about a firearm. Thanks Buds.

Only had it to the gun range once....but so far I like it a lot. Very nice trigger, and it was able to cycle without a problem with CCI Quiet Semi-Auto ammo.

At this price, this has to be one of the best .22 pistols deals going. The fiber optic sights are very clear and the pistol is very accurate - on par with the Ruger Mark III . Works with all ammo I've tried. The threaded version makes it ready for a suppressor or brake, and with the picatinny rail it is ready for a red dot sight. I own at least 10 .22 handguns, and this is right up there with the best of them for 3 times the money.

I've been looking for a 22 LR cal. target pistol for a while and had a tough time deciding between the Ruger, Browning and S&W. Quality, price, features and availability were the factors in my decision. I had a $50 Bud's gift card so that helped in the price decision. I settled on the S&W 22 Victory based on price, quality noted in various reviews and accuracy observed by users (I'm not am accurate target shooter by any means). When I received the pistol I was quite surprised at the extreme tolerances of the gun. So much so that I had a heck of a time try to pull the bolt mechanism to place a round in battery. I disassembled the gun, thoroughly cleaned it. Then using Q-tips and Turtle Wax rubbing compound, I gently polished all the surface areas that have metal-to-metal contact.(Note: I did not do anything with the trigger mechanism.) I then very lightly lubricated these surfaces with oil and reassembled the pistol. The action was now very smooth and so much easier to charge the pistol.
Here are some observations on this pistol. One, it is heavy... very heavy with the majority of weight in the grip/.receiver area. I added a Tandemross compensator to the barrel, not to tame any recoil (there isn't any with the weight of this pistol), bit to add some weight on the front to balance/distribute the weight. It makes the pistol feel more neutral in the hand. The trigger is interesting in that it doesn't seem to have a wall. As you pull the trigger it just reaches a point where it releases the firing pin. There is no haptic feedback that it has reached the point ("the wall") to were it is ready to release the firing pin. It has a very neutral feeling trigger. The fiber optic sights are excellent. Even wit a relative low level of light they are reasonably bright and easy to see. In normal to bright light ambient light they jump right out at you.
So far I've shot 450 rounds of CCI Minimags through the Victory and I'm amazed at the accuracy of this pistol. Like I said previously, I'm not a great marksman, but the Victory sure makes me look like one. The only real downside to this pistol is the lack of accessories for it, including magazines. They are extremely scarce and pricey, S&W's web store never has them in stock, and the price (when available) seems outlandish. I will admit they are excellent quality, probably stainless steel, but still way over priced. That said, I would highly recommend this pistol if you are looking for an accurate, well made and affordable 22 cal. target pistol.

I am astounded by the extraordinary service I get from Buds Gun Shop. My purchase of the S&W 22 Victory was no exception. I order this pistol and had it shipped to an FFL in my area. Unknowingly the FFL I chose had recently went out of business. Bud’s nor I did not know this until after the firearm had been shipped. When I found this out I called Bud’s Gun Shop and they contacted UPS for me and had the product redirected to another FFL in my area. My pistol arrived on time and was in my hands less than 48 hours from the time I placed the order. The SW22 Victory arrived in perfect condition and after putting several hundred rounds of mixed ammo through it without any problems other than a couple bad rounds from some cheap ammo I can honestly say I am impressed with this pistol. As advertised the single screw take-down made cleaning the pistol a snap. In my opinion it is by far the best 22 pistol you can buy in its price range and its made right here in the U.S.A. Are you kidding me…a stainless steel bull barreled target pistol for $321 dollars shipped?? Amazing!! Thank you Smith and Wesson and thank you Bud’s Gun Shop.

My new favorite range hand gun! Its a tack driver and has eaten every 22 without an issue, 500 round from 4 different manufacturers. It just feels great in the hand, and its going to be the firearm I use from now on when I introduce new people the the fun of shooting.

I bought the S&W Victory 22 with threaded barrel because I had a 22 suppressor and wanted a pistol to use it on. I considered several different pistols, but settled on the S&W because my experience with S&W has always been good. I considered the Performance Center pistol, but decided that the extra price was not worth it. I would not be using the expensive muzzle brake on the PC pistol and I did not like the balance of the pistol with the fiberglass barrel. I am very pleased with the pistol that I bought. Quality is good. The trigger pull was rough and heavier than I liked (4+#), so I bought a Tandenkmoss trigger kit and put on it. I polished the sear and sear interface on the hammer. Trigger pull is now a smooth 1 1/2 #. Surprisingly the pistol is a half breed. The pistol grip is all poly; whereas, the rest of the pistol is what appears to be sand a casting of stainless steel. The finish is a brushed finish and is very functional and attractive. Imagine what the pistol would weigh if it were 100% stainless. Note of advice. The trigger upgrade and polishing of the sear surfaces is a non-trivial task. If you do this mod, be sure you put the pistol in a large clear plastic bag when installing the new trigger spring /plunger or you will lose it. The design of the pistol is such that it ought to be accurate as the sights and barrel are rigidly attached to one another so no loose slide to kill accuracy. The barrel is a bull barrel which gives a front end heaviness which I consider ideal for a target pistol. I have only shot about 50 rounds thu it and there were no problems whatever. With the suppressor and sub-sonic ammo, the loudest sound is the bullet striking the steel plate. The factory trigger made accuracy testing somewhat difficult, but even so accuracy looks promising. Field stripping is extremely easy and although I have not done it, barrel changing is obviously going to be easy.

I am very happy with the S&W 10201 VICTORY 22LR 5.5 10R TB SS pistol. I cannot say enough positive things about dealing with Bud's Gun Shop. I highly recommend this pistol and also dealing with Bud's for your firearms needs.

This is an excellent pistol. The trigger is crisp and it cycles very fast. I also own a Ruger Mk2 and Ruger 22/45 Mk3 lite and this pistol is equally as good. Plus, it is a breeze to disassemble and clean. The bull barrel is a bit heavy and I may switch out to a Tac Sol or Volquartsen barrel in the future. Definitely worth the money.

I bought this for my wife but I actually use it much more the her.
It's a beautiful firearm with great balance and out-of-the-box accuracy, it's a dream to shoot - and so say all my friends who have tried it.
The trigger is very good but I went ahead and installed a Tandem Kross trigger, making the action even more crisper.
My only criticism of the gun is the safety which I frequently, accidentally activate as it is too near my thumb.
So easy to field strip and clean - one can even change out the barrel, if so desired, in around 60 to 120 seconds.
Be nice if it came in a soft or hard gun case, oh well, can't have it all at this price.
I would strongly recommend this S&W 22 Victory.

Bud's service was excellent. Shipped the day I ordered it. As for the gun, out of the box it was a jam-a-matic. 50% rate of failure to eject. After a little reading online, I found a lot of people experience this problem. Instead of returning to S&W and being without my new gun for 5 weeks, I opted to try correcting myself. Many owners online diagnosed the problem as a mis-aligned ejector. After watching a few YT videos, I made a small (.5mm) adjustment to the ejector. The gun runs flawlessly now. Cycles perfectly with even the cheapest ammo, accurate, easy to clean. I love it now. It is a shame that S&W can't have this adjusted correctly when it ships. Would have been 5 stars, but only 3 for having to repair it myself.
