It’s been a year since I started using this round and this is my second review. This is a very reliable round I have killed two nice bucks with this round. I did feel that it has some penetration issues But if the round did not exit there was massive internal damage all deer killed with this round for me dropped dead within 3 yards. I was getting extremely tight groups one round on top of another at 50 yards. The downside to this round is it was all over the place at 100 yards I could not get this round to group at 100 yards at all!!! 50yds it’s great, would use it all the time. 100yds was no good! It does Open up about all the way on impact. This round destroyed a bucks rib cage but then got stuck in the hide but created a massive entry wound that I’ve never seen. Deer jumped and nosed dived right into the ground K.O. Also this round is the cheapest out there! Worth trying!

After trying 5 different kinds of Sabots for my 20G this is the one that worked best with my Savage 220 and Nikon Slug hunter. Light recoil easy zero at 100 yards. Now the picture and the description are completely wrong ! They are 2 3/8 and 1450fps. I would like to see buds gun shop do a better job at descriptions and have a larger selection of lower velocity Sabots but with description that they are lower. But in conclusion great round for MY GUN slug guns vary , might not be the best for yours but definitely worth trying . This is the round I’m sticking with .

Great ammo. Shoots great from my mossberg 500 with rifled barrel and reasonably priced.

I have a H&R 20 ga slug gun that I tried Hornady SST slugs in for a while. I could not get them to group at 50 yds. I then tried these Federals sabots and I got to tell you that these slugs are hard hitting and accurate. I group 4 shots at 50 yards that a fifty cent peace could cover, have not tried them at 100 yards yet. I have already taken a couple of deer with them and the exit wound that is left is amazing, if the deer doesn't fall in his tracks you will not have any trouble finding a blood trail.
