In my opinion, this is by far the best rifle you can buy for the money. You won't be disappointed. As good or better than rifles costing 3 times as much.

A great rifle at a great price from Buds! I can clip the grass stems at 25 yards with this rifle and good ammo. I'm not kidding. Long barrel makes for a nice quiet report with standard velocity ammo. Mine seems to love RWS sub sonic HP. Trigger has good weight and maybe a tiny bit of creep but seems to be smoothing out nicely. Very pleased with the rifle and the experience with Budsgunshop.com

This is a great little 22lr! I found a set of 1" CZ 11mm high rings which mate perfectly to rail. Now, I'm saving up the money for a Leupold fixed 2.5x Ultralight scope that I want their Custom Shop to add a German #1 reticle while changing the parallax to 25 yards. This will become my "go to" squirrel rifle.

This is a very nice rifle. The trigger breaks clean around 3 lbs. The gun is very accurate. Workmanship is flawless. Even the beachwood stock was a very nice piece of wood. My favorite feature is the tangent sight. Rifle favors 40 grain ammo. like Thunderbolt or CCI Mini-Mag. Using an inexpensive (Simmons 22 mag 4X32) scope, I was able to put 3 rounds in the same hole at 75 yards. Can't beat that for the price.

If you want one of the old school CZ 455’s this model is a great choice and as it’s not made anymore (replaced by the 457) now would be the time to get it. Took mine and my nephews out today for the first time. The iron sights required no windage adjustments at 100 yards and my nephews required no elevation adjustment at all. I found mine needed to be set at 125 to be right on at 100 yards. Then put the scopes and sighted them. Accuracy with both was about the size of a 50 cent piece at 100, tighter of course at 50 and this was using two different types of ammo. DO NOT follow the advice of any Youtube “gunsmith” that recommends polishing these actions! They are just fine out of the box and after a couple hundred rounds shooting the actions without any lube they polish just the spots that need it. Then they are super slick. Lube away after that. CZ runs a tighter bore than other manufacturers so I wouldn’t use sub-sonics with these—they lose a lot of velocity. This is my second 455–my other is the walnut stocked American. Both are superb rifles. Not for the “Tacticool” shooters for sure. These are for riflemen who appreciate quality. The safety is direct acting and mounted on the bolt. Very secure but works backwards from most American rifles—forward is safe.

This rifle oozes quality and is a delight to shoot with iron sights. I've run a couple hundred rounds through it and the bolt has smoothed up already - accuracy is EXCELLENT as you'd expect from a CZ. Got this to teach my son to shoot but he's not quite ready yet so I'll use it for a while. There's always the option to sling a piece of glass on this rifle but for my purposes that kind of misses the point. The military sights this comes with are great, very old school. This is far nicer than any 10/22 variant (or other semi-auto) imo and is really the kind of rifle that will easily outlive you. CZ also makes a 7.62 bolt action carbine apparently...which would obviously make a nice companion piece... Fast shipping again from Buds.

Prior to purchasing this rifle, I had a CZ 455 Varmint, which has outstanding wood, and infected me with the CZ bug. I decided on the trainer as my next CZ, and was prepared to be underwhelmed by the beech stock. While it's not figured walnut, this is a beautiful rifle. I added a Williams receiver sight because of my old eyes, although it seems a shame not to use the outstanding factory tangent sight. At any rate, I highly recommend all of the CZ 455s. Now I've just got to decide on the next one... Fullstock, I think. Like I said, it's a disease.

Beautiful grain on this CZ stock (beach). And as always great service from Bud's!

Just a great firearm. I own 3 CZ guns and all 3 are excellent shooters and look good also. For consistent quality I have found CZ to be right at the top of the firearm chart. Unlike my experiences with some U.S. gun makers, Henry in particular, I have not found any problems with the guns CZ ships. Their quality control is working. I especially like the 5s shot pattern they send with each rifle.

So far I have shot _100 rounds through it. Beautiful gun, shoots well so far but haven't tested it too much yet. I will update once I put more rounds through it.

The absolute finest out of the box .22lr I have ever fired. Wonderful trigger, excellent military style rear sight, and dead accurate. Yes, sir. I like it.

Just took delivery of my 455 Trainer this afternoon. Looked it over and everything seemed just so right, like it always does with a CZ! Immediately went to the range and ran a box of old Federal 900 Gold Medal Match through it. The trigger feels light and crisp, almost as good as the modded trigger on another 455 I own. The barrel is free floated. I did not shoot for groups, just wanted to get a feel for the rifle. All my shooting was offhand at 50 feet in an old, dark, dank, indoor range. Still, I managed to keep all of the five-shot groups looking decent with the open sights. These sights are quite good, I expect with a little better light this rifle will be a joy to shoot. When I got home, I compared it to my 455 American. Although the wood on the Trainer is supposedly beech, it looks as good, maybe even better, than the walnut on the American. The action on the American is much smoother, but that could just be a matter of lubrication and break in. Overall, I am quite pleased. Glad I bought this rifle!
